Here's a crude MSPaint drawing that I made. If you can make it, you'll want something similar to this I think. This would be a major pain to make though, but it should help you avoid some restrike.

get a plastic paint scraper from the hardware store. that's the cheapest thing probably. also I bought a dish scraper from linens-n-things that works well too.

I'm running four 48" T5 bulbs on an Icecap 660. I think you can run 2,3 or 4 bulbs, but 4 is the most common. From memory, I think that a 660 pushed four 48" tubes at 80W. They're DARN bright with the SLS reflectors. I've got them over a 120G tank and the 4x54 (80W?) bulbs are FAR brighter...

It shouldn't be too bad. The hardest part is getting glass in there to help prevent UV burning. You can try a 14,000K bulb. I've got a couple Astralux 14KK bulbs laying around that I'm not going to be using. I think I posted them in the for sale section.

If yours are anything like mine, you'll end up with so many of those dinky feather dusters you'll go mad. I end up pulling them out by the handful because they're a pest in my tank. :cry:

I don't have a link, but I think Target sells some digital timers by their power strips for like $15 or so. I used to use digital Intermatic wall-switch timers but they don't like to work that great after a year or so. And they're expensive. Around $30 each.
