~*~ HeLp Me Out PLz! ~*~

Other than being a bit of a challenge to find a light for you could look at a standard 5 1/2 AGA, I think the dimensions are 16"x8"x8".

    Coral Question

A note to Eddys list, avoid cleaner wrasses, they are obligate feeders and starve when they run out of parasites to eat. I can't beleive he didn't mention gobies and clownfish as good fish for his list. You can use the Eclipse filter but you would just want to run carbon or another media in...

    Building a tank

Don't worry about it, I am glad you posted. I have the glass but haven't had a chance to silicone it together yet. I am going with a 12" cube made out of 3/16" glass. Keep us posted on your tanks progress and :welcome to nanotank.

    live rock filter

You can buy reusable bags at your LFS to put the carbon in or if you use Chenipure, it comes in a bag. Some people also use old stockings (like pantyhose) to put carbon in.

    Live aquaria

If they are holding together and just look closed I think they will eventually open. I received an order recently and all of the bags were about 49 degrees according to an infrared thermometer and almost everything made it. I lost a small porcelin crab and a couple of snails, those could also...

    sump idea

You would either have to use an overflow in the sump or drill the top of it to drain back to the display tank. You would also have to run the display tanks water level low enough to hold all of the water coming from the sump in the event of a power failure. The other thing I don't like about...

    Fish for Nanocube 12

Here is a link for the refugium: http://www.nanotank.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1307 . I think both models may have the LED moonlights. The '06 model should have a label on the back of the hood with a serial number and manufacture date on it.

    newb in need of info

If $$$ is a factor you may also want to watch the paper for used set-ups but shop around first to get an idea of what a good deal is so you don't get ripped off. Feel free to post if you want our opinion on a deal.

    newb in need of info

I would go with either a Nanocube or a 10 gallon with a Coralife 96 watt powerquad PC. You could go smaller but I would get one of the above to start off. As you look around on the site you cann see many examples of different tanks, decide which best suits you and go from there. :welcome to...

And they are not problems, more like challenges to overcome when thing start happening. I don't think the light will be too much for your tank if you acclimate it to the new light.

I have heard that arrow crabs are not reef safe and go after coral polyps, I have no direct experience bit I have avoided them for this reason.

    Low light corals

Xenia would probably do well too. Any filter feeder like featherdusters and NON-photosynthetic gorgonians. It would also be a good idea to target feed the polyps and zoas to keep them thriving.
