Another option for a background is adhesive vinyl. www.thatfishplace.com sells it and you put it on just like window tint, I put it on a refugium that is visible and on my 10.

:welcome to nanotank! The white spot looks like a sponge to me. Be careful it doesn't get into the air, it will get trapped in it anf kill it. As far as rearranging the rocks, we all do it until we are satisfied with the look. Just try to keep them away from the sides so you can clean the...

    35 hex @ 1 month - and beyond

I think that is part of it so IMO you are on the right track. Another factor that could be contributing is the MH has more light available in a needed spectrum. Another factor that has been previously mentioned that also helps is target feeding, this also ties in with your theory.

I have found it easiest to use the gasket from the bulkhead and trace around its inside perimeter to mark my holes, this also gives you a real good idea about where the edges of the bulkhead will end up.

    Ben's 10-gallon

Ben, That LR has some very interesting shapes. I would try to leave a little more room near the ends of the tank between the LR and the glass for cleaning purposes. I am sure this was like this for aquascaping purposes but you also want to maintain your water level higher to prevent the air...

I would hold off on adding cleaners until I was 100% sure the cycle has completed. It looks like you are off to a good start with your tank.

Congratulations on drilling your tank. You bring up a good point for others that may be planning on drilling a tank in the future and that is to use the same bulkhead you plan on using to trace the holes with, different brands may have different diameters.

Question about a kent product ?

I also use the Kent products and have to agree with reefman, feed several different foods alternating them. Different corals eat different sized foods and varying their diet will help to ensure that all of the corals are getting the right food for them.

Though I don't consider myself a nanocube expert I do have 2 of them, a 12 DX and a 6. There are 3 main mods you will want to do/consider. First I would add a surface skimmer (this isn't necessary if you have the '06 model since it now comed with one), second you may want to upgrade the return...
