i had the same issue this christmas season.. i slowly lowered the salinity before i left from 1.025 to 1.022-1.023 and as i was gone the evaporation pulled it back to the normal level slowly... just an idea

50 cents a gallon for both here at my LFS and he doesnt charge tax.. so its usually $6 for 10 gallons of salt and 2 gallons of RO/DI... i go once every 2 weeks or so...
