done acclimating.. moved some corals around to get them better lighting for their needs... mushroom is off to the side out of direct light, torch is dead center under the MH. the new lights have actually caused the torch to start a new head, its splitting one of its current heads into two and...

    pearl jawfish (yellowhead)

ive heard they can be okay with a regular sand bed but they need different sized rubble to make a burrow area... break up like 2 pounds of rock into small pieces ranging from slightly larger than sand to like 1/2" diameter and ive seen them move pieces to make a burrow.. its pretty cool.. they...

let me know what you guys think. possible? plausible? worth the work? what if i took my HOB filter/fuge thing and drilled a hole in the intake chamber (where the water comes up into before it falls over the little wall) and hooked a tube down to a 10 gallon behind my setup.. then put a...

Ok ready to order Live Sand & Rock!

i get mine from a shop called "reef aquarium" usually between 1.024 and 1.025 depending on the day, but thats right where i keep mine... this may sound like a "duh" but just in case: dont fill the aquarium to the top with water, then try to add sand and rock... it will overflow... fill it...

i have liked mandarin gobies for a while, but figured that it would be more than impossible in a 5 gallon nano for him to survive unless i could get it to eat prepared foods. i recently came across a site that shows how to turn a few ounces of water with pods in it into a 10 gallon pod farm...
