digging this plumbing... and i know you have the other thread now but i had a plumbing question... hows that flow from the q1 4000? how did you get the PCV to stay up on the black tank edging? i see zip ties but how are they fixed to the tank?

OH... and the reason the title is the way it is... is because everyone and their mother is like "they are going to die in a week... nanos suck,,, if they live they will take over your tank in no time" etc even though i KNOW i am prepared to deal with anything except random death... so just show...

they have since moved off that rock.. the rose moved up onto the adjacent rock and the green buried himself in that back right corner... he is still bubbled up pretty just mostly behind that rock... (the MH is probably a bit much coming from being 2 feet under VHOs in the store to 12" below a MH...

okay... well if the leak is obviously coming from the bottom of the tank... and it was suggested i re-silicone the inside rather than the outside... would it make sense to clean the strip down the center that i have (it supposedly covers the seem in the two pieces of glass, but apparently not...

its on my list... figure i can look for 3/4" styro or something... the weight of the tank should press it down and not create any high points right?

well purchasing isnt an option, this is a custom built tank... so hopefully silicone will work... on my to do list for tonight is to get another 5 gallon bucket for all of the sand... i will put my fish and some rock back in the 5.5 barebottom for a day or two... i have saved all the tank water...

yes... but figuring that the bottom wont be receiving any direct water.. it will be pretty dry in like 5 or 6 hours... and it can continue to dry from there on out...

well now that i feel like im talking to myself... ill let myself know that i have about 9 gallons of water in the tank now with my fish and corals... the zoas opened up almost right away and with the light closer to the water level in this setup they turned almost a purple/blue with green...

tank was leak tested this morning... it had a slow ( less than one drip per second) leak in the two back corners and dead center of the bottom of the tank (where the two seams cross like a plus sign) i re-siliconed those areas and left to dry under my halide... i just filled it again about an...
