what salt did you use and what type of water?

how do you guys get that stuff to grow.. i like it but only thing growing on my tank is brown algae, which i would normally be bothered by but my turbo snails seem to love it... one side is covered in it one day and the next its gone.. they take a few days to clean the rocks and then the sides...

anyone ever paint the sides?? im considering it... after seeing the difference the back made...

never ever seems to be gasping always exploring something that looks new to him.. and what difference would morning from night make?

like the extra bio load... amonia etc... its only 5.5 gallons,, and while my o. clown is only like 3/4" he will grow...

am i correct in assuming a purple firefish and a false perc (both small) are too much for my 5.5 i fell in love with the purple firefish when i saw it in person, and at only 21 bucks its not a horrible deal...

im no lighting master but ive heard MH should work on anything up to 20" deep so it seems you are within limits...

didnt read the whole list there.. but i saw my first purple firefish in person the other day and if i thought my 5.5gal could handle the extra load id get it... probably the most beautiful fish ive seen in person.... i acutally thought about starting a FOWLR just to get it...

no.. it killed it, because it took like 3 mins to pull it off the rock.. it was one of those tiny snails that look like slugs because they have a long shell... idk i have like 10 of them in my tank.. but i watched the shrimp pull at it and pull at it and pick off its tail and pull some more till...

i would go with that theory... ive just heard that since they are tank raised they dont really ever have anything to host in until you give them something... and sometimes tank raised will ignore anemone and corals all togther to host with a magnet... i just hope mine learns the ways of his...

i meant to say he ATE one of my small snails right in front of me... i was hoping that would spark some sort of discussion about mischievous shrimps... lol

lol ive heard that about some tank raised... and as mine is tank raised i hope that he will find something soon.... he always looks like he is looking for something...

yea thinking i might tag onto that 15.99 deal and get two before that store realizes they are going up in price everywhere else...

how much are those running near you if you dont mind me asking? one shop here has them for 15.99, another for 18.99 and one for 30.... all really high if you ask me... i got a peppermint instead for like 5 bucks and hes having a party... at one of my small snails today right in front of me...

found a cute little anemone today called condylacti for like 3.50 and figured it couldnt hurt to try it out... looks really healthy bright white tentacles with bright pink tips.. but i cant find anythign on it online... anyone know anything? Matt

im looking for a small (2-3" in diameter) frag of frogspawn, torch, or bubble coral for my O. Clown to host in... i dont have anything to trade, so it would basically be a purchase through paypal or whatever. im located in 33174 (Miami Florida) not too far from texas, so maybe a USPS...
