Yeah its pretty nice. I found out that our city runs chloramines at least one a day week so it looks like I might need to add on a catalytic carbon stage.

Sorry to hear about your camera. I use the panasonic fz8 and I love it. I think you can get it for around $250 now. There is an fz18 as well which has a 1cm macro whereas mine has a 5cm. It also has an 18x zool whereas mine has a 12x(??)p

I forgot to ask you... Did you like the quality of the tanks at Tongs?

Do those cameras have the ability to manually focus? All the cameras in my house are point and shot. Thus I am constantly trying to get the darn things to focus on a small object in my tank ... and failing.

Jess...... Lets see some new pics. I want to see how things are growing out. Does it look like Eddies tank yet?

Hey guys. Not much to report. Nowhere near as nice as Eddy's tank... I dont know if it every will be. His tank is really outstanding. I have been sort of battling what I believe is some sort of bacterial infection in my tank. Cris, I lost almost all of those Organism palys almost overnight. There are 2 polyps still hanging in there.

Anyways, here is a FTS I just took...

Here is a picture of my newest frag... got it using some store credit at OC Aquatics. You can see the brown strings coming of of the piece. I am constantly syphoning that just out. I am getting ready to do a 100% water change and maybe dosing something that can kill this crap.

And that is using that panasonic fz8? Anything extra added on? I really like your photos. My point and shoot just isn't cutting it.

Yeah that is the FZ8... nothing added. I left the pumps on, used a tripod and turned off the image stabilization, macro autofocus, f/2.8, ISO 100, 1/20 second shutter speed.

The picture of the neon toadstool I posted last night was pumps off, tripod, IS turned off, macro autofocus, f/3.2, ISO 100, 1.6 second shutter speed.

The camera is great. Be warned though that, like almost all other P&S's, anything over ISO 200 or so gets a bit noisy and shooting in low-light situations can be tough. I love this camera though. It records great videos too.

Thanks Cris. I'll be glad to play around with your camera and help you take some shots.

The PPE's are doing well. I currently have 5 polyps and 1 on the way. The monti that you gave me is also doing well. One thing though... I think I attached it to the frag plug the wrong way!

I'm very impressed with the photos taken with the Panasonic. Are they taken using your home made water viewer? or are most taken from outside through the glass?

Also with your night shots, what lighting are you using?

I have an Olympus E-300 DSLR and I don't get the sharp shots you do here. Credit to you and the camera.

That thing looks pretty good. You've got some color there that mine doesn't have. That crazy little anemone decided to take up residence right in between my two monti-plating things and killed alot of them off. He moves around a lot more then I'd like. So irritating that they can't all just get a long. If only their was no religion in the world then just maybe they could get along. :blob just had to throw that in. A little political jab at ignorance.
We need to get together again and have some Carne Asada. Kate really liked it. She doesn't normally like red meat unless it cost $100/lb. so that's a huge compliment to the chef.

show us more pics of your favorite pieces brother. I think my favorite pic that you've taken is the one of your pom pom.
