    Which camera has these features?

This camera is actually for a friend of mine and yes the RAW is needed because he is a web designer/ graphics artist guy and prefers that format. Thanks for those suggestions, I'll look into those two. I'm sure a price difference of $100.00 wouldn't kill him. Tim

    Which camera has these features?

Been doing a bit a research online and was hoping to get a bit of help from you all. Would like to find a digital camera that can: 1. Take pictures in both JPEG and RAW formats. 2. Has at least 4x optical zoom (12 would be better, or at least the ability to add an attachment later) 3. Has a...

    My first nano!

I think you would be better off not doing a water change until after the cycle is complete. Lights are really needed during cycle either. Just airate your water and you should be fine on the PH side of life. Tim

    Jebo Odessey Skimmer NO SKIM!

I would advise against the mandarin. I'm pretty sure they only eat pods, so the 20g wouldn't cut it. JMO. Tim

    My first nano!

Yeah fiddle with the rock for now, you have about a month of waiting for the cycle so move the rocks around to your hearts content to find the setup that looks the best to you. Just make sure to top off with clean water often to prevent PH swings. Tim

Sticking Live Rock To Back Wall?

I've seen setups with live rock attached along the back wall completely with some type of resin. I read it on Reef Central, but since I can never use the search feature good luck on finding that article... really wish I could remember what that stuff was. But I do remember that the stuff had...

For those about to Rock....We salute....

Don't need to add hermit. If you feel you must put something in to help, a small pinch of flake food will help. Poor hermit might not make it when the ammonia spikes. Tim

    Ages? Occupation? Pics?

My name is Timothy Scott Schmidt. I am 27 years old and just purchased a new townhome in Pingree Grove, IL. I am currently applying for a job as a police officer but work as a router tech for a small company that works for AT&T. I served 6 and a half years in the Army as a linguist (Russian...

    My grades came in!

Yeah, parents tend to see if you are capable of A grades then they tend to expect them. Don't take it too hard, if you really feel bad about it, then talk to your parents. Awesome grades by the way!!! I work on CISCO routers most days and I recommend to stick with the marine or vet...

    Small Tank Ideas

Just add a power head inside the tank for better flow. Tim

    new 30G oceanic cube plans

Maybe if you place them vertically and have them right next to each other with one of the tanks an inch or two above the other and let gravity overflow one ten into the other then have the return pump in that tank? Doesn't take much, maybe a bit a silicon and a bit of plexi glass to make a...

    ---ANOTHER ENIGMA---

The Bioballs and ceramic rings create way too many nitrates. The LR processes the nitrites slower allowing a more natural bio filtration. I would remove the bio balls and ceramic rings and use the live rock. JMO. Tim

    Very new newbie

You don't have to buy premixed water, just what ever is more convient/cost effective for you. The RO/DI is for top off from evaporation. If you do mix your own saltwater put the water in a container with a powerhead and let the water mix for a day, then add the salt and let the powerhead mix...

    new 24gl nano cube

Yes but just to clarify an point that I found helpful. Don't do a water change until AFTER the cycle. And light isn't needed during the cycle, it will just fuel algae blooms. Tim

    That awful caulerpa

Hmm Maybe a uv filter will kill the spores? Not sure if it would work but what's the worst that could happen? Tim

    Very new newbie

That list sounds good but you won't really need any other tests besides the master SW test kit. The titanium heater is a good idea as something could knock a rock over and if it broke the standard glass heater you would be in a bit of trouble. Doctors Foster and Smith have some Azoo titanium...

    Chemi-Clean

probably hurt the other corals, but you could try to reduce feedings and then reduce the photoperiod. Maybe half the normal light you give now? Tim

    Yellow Watchman Question (updated 4-24)

make a chamber out of a pop bottle (to stop the flow) and put LR rubble in the bottom and then put the mushroom on top of that. When it finally decides to attach to a LR pebble then lodge/glue it wherever you want. A guy at the LFS recommended this to me. Haven't tried it yet, but seemed...
