    HELP!!!!!

Seems like a pricey idea. I'd imagine a small generator would be a more cost effective purchase. Lights tend to need alot of power and UPSes that can supply that much power are kinda expensive. A UPS is made so when the power goes out you can shut down your computer without data loss...not to...

    Lighting upgrade question

I've never used it but I've heard good things about it. I guess on Reef Central there is a mod to switch the arm around 180 degrees. Tim

    Newbie, First Tank, Advice Appreciated!

If you want more than 2 fish your best bet is the 24g. Not sure on sand and rock, don't have a cube. Nano customs should have what you are looking for in a cube. You can call them directly and they will help you out. The clam will need more light that is for sure. Not too sure on the heat...

    Buying frags?

This is the frag swap area I know but i have no frags (or corals at all for that fact). But could I purchase frags off of people here? I would be looking for the odd mushroom, ricordia, or zoas. My tank won't even be set up until April 13th (house closing  ) but just kinda curious...

    Bi-Lingual People?

I served in the army as Russian and Serbian-Croatian linguist and am married to a mexican (so my spanish is on the rise). I have lost most of my Russian but am still quite good with my Serbian-Croatian. The best thing that will help you is to find someone that is native (or is able to...

    Doctors Foster and Smith

Well this company has a wonderful to deal with customer service section. I purchased a light (2x40 watt current CF) and it came with a bad bulb. A simple call and I had a free replacement that arrived in two days free of charge. They even went through a couple troubleshooting steps to ensure...

Buying an Automatic Top Off System?

I purchased this top off kit, I need to supply a MJ600, GFCI Powercord, and a 9V battery. I might just be cheap but I love to try DIY and this seems quite simple. Plus it has a backup float switch included. HTH. http://www.aquahub.com/store/product25.html Tim

~*~ HeLp Me Out PLz! ~*~

For a tank that size two fish is really pushing it and to ensure their health will require a lot of attention from you. I think in all honesty why not START with just one clown and then add your corals and let the tank mature to that. Then add another clown after seeing if the tank can handle...

    Newbie, First Tank, Advice Appreciated!

I don't use the Nanocubes but they are a great way to get an all in one. I know that the surface skimming is almost a must have for the cubes. And also don't use the rings or bio balls, put live rock rubble instead. I think that a common pratice is to remove all but one sponge and clean it...

    New additions!

I bought the Current 80w 20" only because the light has a three seperate power cords to automate your light cycle (actinics, 6700K/10,000K, 2 LED moonlights) while the Coralife only had one powercord. cost abou 110.00 after taxes and shipping from Dr. Foster and Smith (SUPER NICE customer...

Help me sort this out please.

Thank you all for the responses. Guess I will have to wait for my larger tank before I get my frogspawns, bubbles, hammers, and torches huh? Ok thanks for the tip on the Star Polyps (don't these have that neuro toxin though? Would the same trick work for xenia? I do plan on having my...

    Non-reef nano setup...

You should still get a cycle and I would throw in some LR at least in the HOB filter for some bio filtration. You don't have to get coral with the LR but the LR will be a home/hiding place for the smaller fish. (I'd be a little off if I was in a box with no place to hide so I imagine a fish...

    Non-reef nano setup...

Don't ask me about fish, but an aquaclear HOB filter can be modified nicely to hold a heater, carbon, and make a small refuge for chaeto. Weekly water changes. about 10% of your water. HTH. Tim

Help me sort this out please.

Hmm I assume you are referring to the Red Open Brain... I'm not too familiar with all the different names a single piece of coral can have. Tim
