    SNAIL MURDER OR UNTIMLEY DEATH

I can handle that. :cool1: Good acclimating, actually maybe a bit too long. 15-20 minutes for temp is normally fine and a half hour or 45 minutes will do well for adding water.

    Newbie needs some help

You can manually remove it if you have a sponge. I just run a brush over it and let the sponge catch it all. maybe mess with the flow a bit to get more water moving across the top of the rocks?

    SNAIL MURDER OR UNTIMLEY DEATH

Well Ideally even for fish I think the lower the better. That 30 ppm may be fine for fish but inverts are a bit more sensitive IMO. By the information posted I don't think there was anything wrong, may be a sick snail or something else. I wouldn't be worried about the one snail passing on, I...

    Water check!

Weekly water changes and maybe a spot feeding once a week (I put a single mysis on my mushrooms once or twice a month and they ball up around it to eat - they don't NEED it - I just like watching that). If you do a weekly water change no supplements should be needed. Once you get...

    SNAIL MURDER OR UNTIMLEY DEATH

Snails and invertebrates are indeed sensitive. I would try to lower the NO3 just a bit more. See if you can get it to like 5 or so. It still isn't fun for fish, and it will only get higher before you do another water change. I personally would wait until I had most of my rock in and cycled...

    Water check!

27-28 is fine, but may be a bit warmer than they love. Mine is at 28 (well 81.5 Fahrenheit) and does great. Hardy corals are a great place to start and I encourage you to try one. Softy or a mushroom or ricordia (my favorite nano coral actually)

    help!!!!

Well don't glue clams, they will create these fillaments an attach themselves where ever they want (they can move by the way). But yes make sure the glue, epoxy, or whatever is aquarium safe and can cure underwater. I use an epoxy from two little fishes and it works well for me.

    Water check!

I personally check both. Most of the parameters are interdependent. If one changes it can and will affect others. KH is basically the buffering capacity of a tank so the more ideal it is the less likely your PH will swing too erraticly. If you don't have a lot of hard coral you may not have...

    FISH PSYCHOLOGIST NEEDED

They don't NEED two. But if there are a pair one of them usually assumes a more dominant female role and they both benefit from the relationship (IMO). But I have seen plenty of solitary clown fish and they appeared to be in perfect health.

    Water check!

I take it from that statement tap or well water is being used? If so you may have some issues down the road. If you can I would recommend a RO/DI water filtration unit. If that's not an option a RO unit or distilled water. Tap and well water has too many total dissolved solids in it. (i.e...

    Saltwater Biozyme

I think that is the best way to go. Just my opinion, I even didn't want to dose two part solution, but I eventually did.

New to SW and need some advice/help

:welcome to Nanotank! Sounds like a common issue in the warmer states. Heat is always something you want to keep in check. There are a couple of options but most of them aren't exactly cheap. The frozen water bottle is a temporary fix and you really would benefit from a bit more controlled...

Chiller Location for the Red Sea Max

:) on computers. I don't like noise and I actually pulled out a dB meter to make sure that noise is not that loud. You can put the fan on a dimmer switch and control the speed of the fan (thus the noise).
