    Small tank, large questions

Ouch. Zing :) I think a clown goby would be fine. I wouldn't do a porcelain crab, but a pom pom should be fine. Flow should be ok but you can always upgrade you HOB if you want more.

Should be ok. Only thing that might happen is bubbles may be shot into display part.

    Jesse's 12g AP w/70 watt Sunpod

Happy birthday Jesse! Hope it goes well. I have been looking at controllers too and I think I will go with either the AquaController 3 or the Reef Keeper Elite....I know they are pricey but honestly I've more than that in live stock for my 90. Besides I know I will be getting a couple hundred...

Glad to see you back too! I use a aquahub.com ATO and it works well enough, but is a more DIY involved solution.

    HelifaxNZ's 7G Nano

Well honestly I have my salinity at 1.026. But having nitrite and nitrate does raise a point of concern. I follow the belief that our tank is constantly "cycling". A balance of bacteria and waste is almost always trying to be maintained. The water shouldn't have too much of an affect. My...

    which crab

I would do Pom Pom crab. I have one in my 90 gallon. Cool crab, but it's hard to find him! So in that tank you would get to see him/her most of the time (but still provide a hidy-hole for it). I don't know about grouping it either though.

ATTENTION all 70 watt MH users!!

LOL I don't have MH. But if I did I would go in.

Lighting upgrade on a 12g eclipse???

Direct replacement I think limits you to power compact with a screw in base. There are retrofit kits that would do nicely. If have any ability to build your own hood the sky is the limit on lighting.

    Nano "TANK" suggestions.

Wow. That actually looks like that may be plug and play. I would still pull the bio balls out though. I love my T5s but I don't know how well those 8watts would do. Probably not maxima clam on the bottom of the tank but maybe up on the rock work. I run 6 x 54 watts and my crocea clam...

    Considering a picotope

That will take care of that! Nice mod BTW. Just keep an eye on evaporation now that you have fans going.

    HelifaxNZ's 7G Nano

I recently picked up a magnum canister filter and LOVE it for tank cleaning time. I imagine it would make very short work anything that collected on the bottom of your tank.

    Considering a picotope

The hood may be the culprit. BTW how warm is too warm? I only ask because I keep my 90 at about 81.5 or so.
