That thing filled up quick man. what are your plans now? Are you going to get more LR and start putting the frags up on the Rocks or are you going to keep them in the Sand? Just curious. Your going to have some really nice color in that thing when everything starts growing. Not that you don't now, but you konw. Bigger color.
Hey Cris. Yeah I have quite the selection already. I am sort of waiting to move everything up into place because there are some corals that I dont have yet that I still want. And I want to be able to arrange the colors and stuff so they contrast nicely and all of that. You know, I dont want all the pinks with the pinks and all the oranges with the oranges. I will hopefully be aquiring a polyp or two of some nuclear green palys and purple death palys, and maybe some other stuff. In a couple of weeks I should be able to start gluing stuff into place. That and I wanted to give the corals some time to adjust to my lighting and see what they would do color-wise with the MH.KidNano said:

No, I still have all of it. I'm pretty bummed becuase I've had to neglect my tank a little because of the business of Life. hopefully this weekend I'll be able to get back on it. I'm pretty close to winning the hair algae battle and the redslime that came up from lack of water changes for a couple of weeks. what a pain. Anyway I haven't really cut anything up yet. I've got a battle with the dreaded aptasia coming up pretty soon. Everything is still growing really well despite all the drama though. After Big blue gets a little more comfortable in the tank I'm going to get a Rabbitfish. I've heard that they will solve any minor algae problems. I need to swap out my substrate as well.Jesse said:

Totally lazy sounds so totally nice. I've totally been slacking on my tank and I'm paying the price for it. I think my substrate is finally cathcing up to me. I just can't keep it clean enough and I can't beat the cyano red slime. Also while vacumming I dropped a rock on my 1 and only acro....... It's dead now. $50 down the toilet. my little frag section above my sump is covered in red slime and the little frags aren't so happy any more. except those red mushrooms. They still look good.

), great growth so far, nice white tint, a very light tinge of blue. Here is a new piece I just got a couple of hours ago. It is a large yuma with blueish purple bubbles, purple base and streaks of green. It hasnt had a chance to open up yet so you cant see the true colors but Ill post another pic when that happens...

Got a steal of a deal that I just could pass up.

All in all I dont think you missed much Cris. The one we both HAVE to go to is RAP in october. That is more of a place for frags. MAX was almost like a trade show and the prices on the corals/dry goods were crazy at some places.

The lectures were alright. I didnt listen to any of them all the way through. I caught some of Adam Bundell's presentation on filtration, some of Frank Burr's presentation on setting up a large reef tank. Both were pretty cool, nothing that really jumped out at me though. Sorry! :sad:KidNano said:
