Pico "Melody" by Redsea is alive!!! (pics fixed!)

Re: Needed time Nope it's a specific nudi. I believe this is the one, although it only mentions flatworms, and not aptasia...It's possible I've gotten this one confused with the aptasia eating one, but I don't have time to look through threads on RC. Peppermints have been known to eat...

Pico "Melody" by Redsea is alive!!! (pics fixed!)

Re: hey incysor I can't see the pics at all now...From what I remember of the pic from last night, it might be a tulip, but the color didn't really look right, but that could be angle/lighting/etc.. Unless the tips bulb up I wouldn't worry too much about it. Some peppermint shrimp will eat...

    hi new here....

The only really good way I know of to get rid of bristle worms, fire worms, and mantis shrimp, isn't good for anything else you've got living on the rock. Bristle worms, and fire worms aren't really that big a deal. If you're really infested, you can simply try a pair of forceps, but in...

Pico "Melody" by Redsea is alive!!! (pics fixed!)

I'm just leaving work, so my connection speed here is pretty awesome, and it took a LONG time to get all the images to load. I never did manage to get all of them to show up at the same time. The first set of polyps are of course zoos. The second coral frag is galaxia. Cool stuff, but it's...

    Random New Shots

Thanks guys....The first one is my RBTA, the last one is my new green carpet anemone. As for a how-to, I just keep following the how-to website I posted earlier. I practice with one thing until I think I've sort of got it down, then move on to the next thing. I'm finally starting to get...

What's the better buy in moonlights?

Yes, but some people are either intimidated by DIY, (especially when it comes to electricity), or just don't enjoy it, so paying for a completed, clean unit is worth the extra money. I like some DIY projects, others I'd just as soon pay someone else to deal with it. B

    Random New Shots

Just some random shots I took last night before I fed the little monsters. My new avatar. This is new, but it's not the one that's at Global.

I posted pics I took at Global, and Planet Fish this weekend over on MARSH. They're very image intensive. Here's the links. Global http://marshreef.com/modules.php?name=F ... pic&t=5375 Planet Fish http://marshreef.com/modules.php?name=F ... pic&t=5374

Custom Fish tanks in Houston, or shipped for extra charge

I just found this site today. One of the guys I've dealt with on MARSH posted it. I'm not sure if he's affiliated with it or just dealt with them before. Here's a page showing custom nano tanks they've done. Friggin awesome. B http://www.wetdryfilter.com/special_req ... dy%20Tanks

    Dec. Contest Winner - Incysor

 I was having all sorts of problems with the batteries last night. I've got two sets, and neither of them wanted to hold a charge. Either I've gotten to the end of their lifespan, (possible), or there's something going on with that charger. I tried changing plugs and that may have...

    Nano Refuge questions...

The moonlights are the wrong wavelength for any kind of photosynthetic benefits. Unless you're trying to keep macro algae with your rubble, there isn't any need for any light on the rubble. Adding the rubble is just an additional bit of space for the anaerobic bacteria to reside, and a...

    Tru Vu 3.5 Nano...

Great pics. I love those mushrooms. Is the filter integral to the tank, like a nanocube, or do you have something hanging on the back of it? I haven't seen these tanks before, they look really cool. B

What's the better buy in moonlights?

For what it's worth, most LEDs are rated for over 10yrs. If they're going out after a couple months there's something seriously wrong with the product. B
