You're not talking about seadragons are you? They come in two varieties, leafy, and weedy. B

Re: real cool What did they look like? The only ones that are coming to mind right now with dragon, is dragon wrasses, and dragon gobies, but they don't really come in different colors. B

I'd try to stick with smaller fish for nano tanks. You need to make sure to do a bit of research on them and make sure that a 10g is an acceptable size tank for them. There are lots of small gobies and blennies out there, one of my favorites, is a yashia goby. They will usually pair up with...

    Clown + Anemone

The feeder goldfish are ok for an emergency, but they don't really have the right nutrients for saltwater critters. You need to be feeding silversides/krill/mysis, or other meaty saltwater critters. This goes for lionfish, anemones, octos, sharks, or pretty much any saltwater predator. They...

Usually you can watch them in the LFS, and you'll be able to spot ones that already sort of paired up. Not always, but often. You might want to plan on some kind of canopy as well, since they're pretty well known for jumping out. B

Both of those corals are probably ok. I haven't had any luck with glove/clove polyps, but theoretically your lights should be fine for them. B

It's alive!!! 102 watts arrived... Check out the pics....

In the second pic his elegance coral is directly behind the frogspawn. In the first pic, from the side, it looks like the plate coral is behind it. (Yay for side pics.) Congrats on getting the new lights. Are you going to shorten your photoperiod to give stuff time to get used to the...

40w 50/50pc over a 10 should be enough light to easily keep softies, and many varieties of LPS. A fire fish should be fine. Supposedly they do better in pairs. They're also known jumpers. As for filters, I'd look at your budget, and decide what you'd like to do. My wife's 10g has an...

    Snow in South Texas

Sweet. That's way more than we got here in Houston. It was cool driving through it this evening. There's about an 1/8th of an inch stuck on the grass/cars out at my folks house in the suburbs. Nothing stuck at our place though. Merry x-mas everybody! B

Electric Blue Hermit Crab (dead or alive??)

Yep, that's one of the ones that I'm thinking about...I may take you up on the offer. If so I'll wait until after the holidays though. I don't want anything live to end up being delayed with all the holiday parcels. B

Pic of the week --- Fish

Goniopora and alveoporas aren't the same thing. Alveoporas are the normal flowerpots. Gonioporas are the 'branching flowerpots'. I've had one of each. The alveopora didn't make it. The goniopora I got from another reefer that had it in his tank for 2yrs, and had been through some fairly bad...
