    Yellow Clown Goby

I wouldn't try it....I did try it at one point in a 55g. The new one lasted about 6hrs. I've never seen a mated pair before. It doesn't mean they don't exist, but if they're readily available, you'll usually come across them listed as such. B

    30 Gallon Cleanup Crew

As dj already stated I'd stay away from the serpent star, especially the green ones. They're fish killers. My CBS definitely got agressive and killed several of my shrimp as it got larger. And that was in a 55g. I won't put another one in any of my tanks. I think it's likely that in a...

Check out this video, still trying to figure out if its real

It looks to me like she went in front of the basket....But I don't have anything that'll let me slow the playback down. B

    Good sand sifters

A serpent won't clean your sandbed anyway. If you want one just to have one, stay away from the green ones. They're fish killers. For a 6g maybe try a single nassarius snail. A sandsifting star is likely to starve to death. B

    Asterina Stars Bad?

I've never heard of asterina stars eating anything other than detritus and/or algae. It may be that you're sand sifter is simply on it's way out and the asterina is eating the tissue as it's disolving. A sand sifter in a 10g or a 20g, is unlikely to have enough to eat, unless you've got a...

Pic of the week --- Peek-a-boo

I've forgotten this the last couple weeks. We'll just pretend it's a Thursday. Post any images you've got of your critters peeking at you. Try to keep them 600x450 or under. Here's one from the LFS.

    Yellow Clown Goby

It's not a good idea unless you have TONS of SPS in the tank. They may nip at the polyps, but they'll definitely irritate them by perching on them, so the polyps don't extend for feeding. In a large tank with lots of SPS, it probably wouldn't be much of an issue, but in a nano with less corals...

No, it won't adapt. It should be in a moderate current area. B

    is this RO DI ...

It looks fine. But I'd check out buckeye since you're on MARSH. That system is $70 + $23 in shipping, and it doesn't come with a tank. Buckeye seems to really know what they're doing, everyone seems happy with they're customer service. I'd see what they're systems are running before I'd...

    Duncanopsammia Anyone?

I hadn't heard of it before yesterday...I read a few articles. Seems like it's fairly rare in the hobby except in/around Australia. http://whelk.aims.gov.au/coralsearch/ht ... es/135.htm B

    New Aquascaping...

I think that looks a bit better, and more importantly it's gonna be easier for you to place corals on it now. Good job. B

    Button/Meat/Donut Coral (Cynaria)

Other than the fact that these guys can get BIG, I think you'll be fine. They like meaty foods. I had a plain brown one given to me. I ended up having to give it away because when it swelled up it took up about a 4x10 inch circle on one side of my 55g. Some of the green ones and pink...

    Mini Halogen Lights

    .75g Red Sea Aqua Vase

I hope you're kidding. These fish would starve to death in a regular 55g aquarium if you didn't feed them. As for why so many folks are having problems. That's a good question. I suspect that perhaps one of the major suppliers is using cyanide to capture them. I only say this because 4...

    Two-Spot Goby (Signigobius biocellatus)

I really like these fish, but haven't ever kept them for that exact reason. I haven't been able to find a pair that would accept prepared food, and since they eat a lot of the same pods that mandarins do, the mandarins won out. B

    Clowns and Chromis

These are all better suggestions than a perc and a chomis, for the simple fact that chromis do better in groups, and a 6g tank really isn't large enough for that many fish. This one's been answered several different times. Your clown may not host a coral. I've had 3 pairs of clowns now, and...

    Clowns and Chromis

Amphiprion percula = True Percula Amphiprion ocellaris = False perc AKA Occellaris. These are the ones that are labeled tank-raised. There is no large-scale tank-raised true percs that I've heard of. If they were I believe that ORA would be raising them along with the rest of the clowns that...
