I'd say one bag would probably do it. If you're not happy with the depth, you can always go to the LFS and get a bit more. That's a pretty good price for that, so even with added shipping because it's heavy it'll probably come out a few dollars less than at the LFS...Assuming that it runs...
I tried frags of it a couple times in my 55g. Never had any luck.
I think it needs really high flow....Much like SPS to keep other types of algae from growing on it and killing it.

They had them setup on all the new tanks...So it looked like they were a package...but if you opened one of them up each peice was priced seperately. Honestly I couldn't tell you what all the different sizes were that they had. I wasn't really looking at them, other than to try to get around...
As long as the brain has a chance to grab ahold of it before something else gets it I think it would be fine. When I feed a mix I thaw everything in a cup of tank water and use a turkey baster to spray a little bit over all the corals.

Hmm...The petco on Shepherd has true wood canopies/hoods. Or at least they did a few months ago, which is when I was in there last. They're not high enough to mount MH onto, but they'd work for PCs or T5s.

I like pizza, and mexican, sushi's alway's good. Blue cheese burgers.
BRAINS tend to get fed cyclopeze, mysis, brine, krill, whatever flake happens to float their way.
Sorry I couldn't pass it up.

It sounds like everything should be good.
As far as I can tell you've done everything right.
There are areas that are beyond your control. Just because a chart gets marked doesn't mean the thing is being serviced correctly, or at all.
Your tests could be innaccurate.
Try...
None of the ones listed on that page will fit over a 10g. The shortest they have listed is 24". A standard 10g tank is 20".
This is what lots of folks use. You will want the mounting legs.

If you want to do a canopy, you can get this and mount...
I don't think that anyone on here now has them now. I tried at one point, but I couldn't get the sucker to switch over to frozen food, so after about 2wks I took it back to the LFS.

It's certainly do-able. But SM knows her stuff, and has put more time and work into researching and maintaining than lots of folks do with a new tank. Consequently she's had really good results.
