    5 gallons

For a 10g I would suggest one of the Current USA power compact fixtures. The Satllite is nice and is 2 40 watt lamps. Their Smartpaq lamps are nice. I still wouldnt suggest an anemone for a 10g tank for two reasons: 1) linited space... most love to move, 2) limited lighting... most like lots...

    poly filter

I wouldnt be worried about that. If anything, it's nothing that frequent water changes cant make up for. Jesse

    too much light?

I would go with just one 175 watter on a 20L. I had a single 150 watter over my 20L back in the day and it was nice. The only thing is that the light doesnt reach all the way to the ends so there is a small amount of shading there. I just think TWO 175 watters would be way too much light for...

Two questions, Oops I mean three

Very small, I'd guess about 1/8"- 1/4" MAX. You'll want to do a freshwater iodine drip. The little clear bugs are probably copepods... harmless and beneficial. Jesse

    Reef safe epoxy-type stuff?

There is a product called AquaStikâ„¢ Epoxy Putty that will do the trick. It is even sold at PetSmart I believe. I bought an epoxy putty at Home Depot called AquaMend and it is a little bit cheaper. Both of these products can be used underwater with corals/fish still in the tank. I hope...

    My new 12 g eclipse

They sell backing for fishtanks... it's just a thin plastic sheet. There are the FW versions with plants and junk, the are SW versions with fake corals, and then there is a generic one with a nice blue color on one side and black on the other side. You can just tape this to the back and works...

NO anemone for sure... everything else sounds good though. What kind of filtration and lighting are you planning? Jesse

    Bye bye to camera!

Yeah, I need to take some time off. That vacation is much-needed. The volunteering thing is on the back-burner right now. There is alot of stuff going on right now and they just wanted too much of a commitment. Just wasnt going to be enough time right now unfortunately. Jesse

    Ballast covered with saltwater!!!!

Which lamp are you running? The Hamilton ballast is designed for DE lamps, the electronic will work too, you may just get a little less output with the electronic as well as probably a little bit bluer tint with the electronic. Jesse

    Bye bye to camera!

I would love to upgrade but this is just another expense on top of a $200 traffic ticket, $500 deductible for an accident on the way to Eddy's house, new tires for the other car...  oh well. I would like to get one by August though because my wife and I re going on vacation...

    Houston!! We have a problem....maybe!

Alot of the makeup of Chemipure is simply carbon. I would just use regular old Marineland Black Diamond carbon... or if you arent into spending money on a name brand you can purchase HBH Granulated carbon (not pelleted) from PetSmart which is Black Diamond carbon without the Black Diamond name...

    Doing what comes naturally

Just wondering why you turn off the powerheads at night? This is when many corals feed and adequate flow is just as necessary at night as it is during the day. Jesse

    Bye bye to camera!

Well. it finally happened yesterday... I dropped my camera into my tank while taking pictures. It was only for a split second but I think it was enough to do it in. I let it dry overnight and it isnt water-logged, so maybe there is some hope. My concern is obviously the saltwater which...

    Tunze Nano Reef Pack 200

Those tunze nano skimmers rock.... very good skimmers. Im not familiar with the filter that comes with it, but I would imagine it is good. You can also use a regulr HOB power filter too to run carbon etc. Dont forget about powerheads for water movement too. Jesse
