If you put some sort of sump on that 6.6 to give you more water in your system, you could stock it with sps or anything else you wanted with that much light on such a shallow tank. looks like fun!!
Looks good. Just be careful with your bioload for the first few months. You want to give your tank planty of time to fully cycle and stabilize. can you give a full tank shot?
thanks

I wouldnt say that you need to make any changes to the structure of the nanocubes, but i would say that you should change what is IN the filtration of the nanos. for example, change out the ceramic bio-rings with live rock rubble and add a bag of chemipure. Others on this site can be more of a...
I would just keep the reflector that comes with the kit... especially because it is a 150 watter above a 5 gallon! The main reason I made my own reflector was the size.
Well...i thought my RBTA was doing really well, and it turns out that it was. 2 days after selling it, the new owners contacted me to tell me that it split! looks like they got two for the price of one! I may see about possibly getting the smaller one from them...we'll see.
You may want to try contacting Lamp Dr. at nano-reef.com. I believe he is still selling complete 70 watt kits (14k MH bulb, socket, reflector, uv glass, pre-wired and ready to go) for $130 shipped. He is also offering 150 watt kits for $185 shipped.
As far as replacing the bulbs you have...
When some macros, such as grape caulerpa (one of the best at exporting nitrates), "go sexual", they fade, turn to mush, then release germ cells along with other undesirable nutrients. Frequent pruning/harvesting can generally keep this in check.
Oh, BTW, Im not running the MH yet...I havent taken the time to install a UV filter. Also, The RBTA, the clown, and the LR it is attached to is on the way out tonight. I have two good friends with an 80g reef that has been up for several years and they are coming by to buy the threesome off of...
one more thing...
One more thing...what do I do with the nudi after he eliminates the flatworm? They have a specific diet, will he die if left in the tank?
Hey Mike, thanks for the nudi tip...i think I like that idea rather than adding a chemical like flatworm exit to the tank. http://www.saltwaterfish.com/site_11_03 ... 63_90.html
Is this a good price for these guys? With the free shipping, it seems to be. Im going to check out Tong's (my...
