    Journal for new canopy to house MH retro...

    I will have the MH ballast on the floor for sure. The ballasts that are pictured are the PC ballasts...even after being on all day for 10-12hrs they are only somewhat warm to the touch. I think i do plan to move these though, just to not have so much electrical near the water.

    DE UV GLASS...

    I purchased a piece of lexan XL10 from home depot for less that $10 for a 24"x12" piece. now i just have to cut it down to size. The only thing with it is it does sag slightly... i think i can fix that. Sadie...thanks for all your help. I hope this stuff works. ill let you all know. jesse

    Yeh...Edgray, understand that foods such as phytoplankton are extremely concentrated. What seems like just a little bit to us is actually a very large amount. jesse

    Go with the Faststone image viewer 2.29. Its free and works great. http://www.faststone.org/ Also, i read in a computer magazine that www.picasa.com offers THE best FREE photo management program on the net...I have yet to try it. http://picasa.google.com/index.html Hope that helps...

    Actually, Mike, they dont look much different in person. They are pretty focused, almost light little spotlights. Thats why I was wondering if these come in broader angles or something, less of a spotlight. Any suggestions?

    Good point...i forgot to comment on that. That does seems like quite a bit. Things like that will through your tank out of whack...nitrates and ammonia and such. Plus, I dont really see a need for phytplankto considering the corals that you have...maybe a light dosing once a week.
