    New to Coral Question

Caulerpa is a macro algea. Most people use it in their refugium only. Some folks with large tanks that have tangs will put a bit of it in the main tank for them to graze on. Otherwise most people don't put it in their display. Look it up through google. Lots of places sell it online, and...

    New to Coral Question

Your corals look good. The Perc is a good choice. You definitely need to take the tang back, and try to only add things you've actually researched beforehand. In a nano there just isn't much room for errors, and in a pico tank, which your's qualifies as, you don't have leeway at all for...

    Tank Placement

Depending on how much headroom you have, you should easily be able to throw some small casters/rollers on a piece of plywood and put the tank on that. Depending on how your counter is finished you could put formica, or whatever on the board to match or compliment the countertop. B

    50g / 5 = 10g 8drops / 5 = 1.6drops. I'd go with 1. If something is healing up it to 2. B

    Carbon inserts.

I generally change mine once a month, more if I start to see algae buildup, corals looking unhappy, etc... B

    Tank Placement

How easy will it be to get stuff in and out of the tank? How easy will it be to get your hands in it to scrape the glass off? How much sunlight does your kitchen get? If you can easily get stuff in and out of it, and can clean it easily, and it's not going to get any direct sunlight, then I...

    Carbon inserts.

I'd use them. All it can do is help. B

    My new mushrooms!

Her stuff will die. If you were locked in a dark room, and fed nothing but diet coke and plain popcorn, you'd live for awhile, but eventually you'd die of malnourishment. Same thing's gonna happen to her tank, if she doesn't start doing some research and make some changes in her lighting...

    toadstool

Yeah it would be fine...It's just like any other coral in a nano. It may outgrow it in time, but I don't think they're much faster growers than any of the rest of the softies. B

check out the little clip of my cube

Unfortunately I haven't messed with video at all, so I don't have any useful information about good sites for it. Here's a quick listing I found...but I don't really have any experience with any of them. If you're happy with tripod otherwise, I'd stick with them, and just post the movie...

    New to Coral Question

When I first started buying corals, I didn't drip acclimate anything, just floated the bag to let the temp adjust then put them in. I assumed that the corals were tougher than the fish/inverts. After losing a couple corals I did some more research, and found that for some corals this may work...

    New to Coral Question

Your xenia may just be slow to acclimate to the tank. How are you acclimating your corals when you introduce them? Some folks have no problems with xenia, and it grows like a weed, others can't seem to keep it alive even though everything tests out good, and they've got lots of other types of...

    LPS ?

My understanding is that they only share nutrients if the tissue is connected. If the tisse of one head is only connected to the skeleton, but not the tissue of the surrounding heads then it's not sharing. But I could certainly be wrong, and/or it could differ between different types of candy...
