Fish dying in the same spot???

Either that or the currents just carried the dead bodies to rest in the same spot.

Just FYI there hasn't been a post there in about 2 years. Mike still comes to the board so I'm sure he will eventually answer.

Awesome! I love the mushroom. I second the sexy shrimp, interesting and very size appropriate.

My 90 gallon is the main reason. I don't like the starting point of CA and MG with Instant Ocean. Don't get me wrong IO is great stable salt, no problems. I just want to try Seachem and see how stable it is. I have two clams and will be adding more, I have SPS and LPS so the CA draw on my...

Two little fishes phosban reactors work GREAT for carbon. They run about 40 bucks at most site and you can usually get a deal from somewhere. I use Seachem carbon since it is round and allows for a faster rate.

    JBJ Nanocube DX

Well I moved a few things around. I took out all the birds nest. The stock lighting wasn't cutting it. So they moved into my 90 gallon. I currently have the one ricordia and the christmas tree worm in the tank. I have a frogspawn frag and a candy cane coral with two polyps that I will put in...

Here is a heater that has a 5 3/4 inch rod. The controller is on the plug. One down side is the cord is kind of short. Plus with you being in New Zealand I don't know how feasible this is for you. I have this one and it does great on my 12 gallon...

newbie here!.. wanted to know about 2.5 gallon tanks

Check out the inverts! There are a ton of inverts that are over looked. For that small sexy shrimp would be nice. Or you could look into a more aggressive crab.

    Lighting on my non nano

Well after much research I have installed my T5 lights with independent reflectors instead of metal halide. For the best use inside the hood these lights are awesome. 6 bulbs at 54 watts each, 3 actinic, 3 10,000k. When I change out bulbs next year I plan on using a better mix (UVL and...

    Cycleing a nano tank

When you have no ammonia and no nitrites you are near the end of your cycle. When you get there do a pretty big water change to drop the nitrates and you can start with a clean up crew. Normally a break out of diatoms is associated with the end of a cycle.

    HelifaxNZ's 7G Nano

I personally like the look of sand. The koralia nanos shouldn't kick up too much. The tank may be expensive but it sure has a clean look. Do you think you could cram the heater in the skimmer some where?
