    Considering a picotope

Smallest fish I know are clown gobies. Sexy shrimp are nice and small and have a very tiny bio load. Browse the pico threads and take a look as some of those amazing tanks. Small tanks are easier on the pocketbook but require more daily maintenance. (I think it's worth it if you enjoy it)...

    new tank...

you may see a benefit for upgrading the pump slightly or just add another power head. After upgrading to my maxijet 1200 I went back to a 900 equivalent and added a koralia nano. I just like having two sources of flow instead of one.

    Aptasia???

Yep. Just turn OFF your pumps and creep on the aiptasia, don't scare it into hiding - then NUKE it.

    new tank...

Ah ok. Makes sense now. Well I'm sorry the lesson had to learned that way. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised that if you did a massive water change the snail would die from going from such high nitrates to really low. Just a thought.

I'll punch you right in the Jawfish

I would have a bit deeper sand bed for it personally.

    Ideas on my next fish...

:) YAY, another one. :) Just make sure to do your research fully, don't take us for gospel either. Patience is key and you'll do just fine. I agree about having only one or two fish in the 12 gallon.

    Skimmer for BC29

None here, I have a friend who has the BC 29 skimmer in his tank and he likes it ok. Small bubbles make into the display tank every so often, but the skimmer works.

What to put in 6 gallon nano?

Damsel are tough fish for sure so if it were to be the only I don't see a huge issue with it. I've never actually had a damsel so I would wait and see what others think.

    new tank...

Ok. You have fish in the tank when it is cycling? Normally that is not done as the ammonia is toxic to fish. If it is possible see if a friend or LFS will hold your livestock while your tank cycles in my opinion.

    JBJ Nanocube DX

My trees really prefer the power compact lighting over the T5 lighting and all i do is make sure to add phyto to the tank once or twice a week. True the corals would do fine with natural sea water, but I would have to supplement quite a bit to keep my CA readings where I want them.

Will this light work in a AC70 fuge?

I don't know the light output range of that light. Do you know what kelvin the bulbs are?

Azoo 2.5 Gallon - Temp Controller?

Well a controller could do it but things like the reefkeeper 2 are kind of pricey.

    3 striped damsel fins...

You are probably right then and it has fin rot. It may also have a swim bladder infection. If that is the case then water quality could be a culprit. Not sure though. I am just taking a stab at it.

    Setting up electronic ATO system???

1/4 inch tubing fits nicely on the maxi jet pumps. Just secure it with a plastic zip tie or something similiar. Really the next common size you will see is just labeled airline tubing. 1/4 inch tubing should work very nicely unless you really need the smaller diameter. The melting should be...

    LR from the ocean...

Quite a few experienced reefers are now adding life from oceans to introduce bacteria to avoid "old tank syndrome". Our tanks are very similar to living in a bubble and by adding different bacteria in a controlled method it is possible to have a healthier tank. Or at least that is how the...
