    new tank...

leathers have been know to shrink up, shed, then come back bigger and better than before. I would run some tests to see if anything is out of whack other than that if you have other soft corals they could be having a chemical war. If that is the case fresh carbon can help clean them out.

    help!!!!

One thing I've learned is that rebuying equipment is more expensive then buying cheap stuff to replace with good stuff. My vote is just get a refractometer, quick and easy to read. I use seachem test kits, but they are a bit mad scientist like. I have a couple different regents to use and...

NOT nano, 200 gallon SW with stand

GAH. That would look great in my house.... in CHICAGO! Bah. But just for humors sake how much would a shipping company charge for sending it insured? I am actually a seriously interested party. Maybe something like "Two guys and a truck" or even PODS?. Maybe moved more than shipped...

I have the coralife digital timers (MUCH easier to set up BTW). The one you have will work, the jumpers just have to be set. Any chance of a pic?

    help!!!!

First off :welcome to nanotank! Startup costs for nanos are noramlly lower but be aware that you will have to do water changes more often since there is less water involved. Most of the all in ones like nanocubes, bio cubes, and aquapods need some type of upgrading to keep a nice reef...

6 Gallon Nano Cube Light Dead

I just put a single mysis on my ricordias and they ball up to eat. Very cool if you never seen it. It makes it easier to turn off the pump to put the food on them.

6 Gallon Nano Cube Light Dead

I'd LOVE to see a picture of THAT! You can squirt some cyclopeeze or other coral food at the mushroom to feed it. That may help it during the lights out period.

    Recommend me a pump please!

On my 12 NC the input side is on the left and the baffle goes under to the 2nd chamber and then over a baffle to the 3rd chamber which holds the pump for output. If this is what you have then is it possible that you just have too much water in the tank?

    NanoSkim Skimmer, worth it?

IMO surface skimming and protein skimming are two totally different things and yes you would see an improvement by using both. You can DIY a surface skimmer using a tape case (cassette tape or something similar).

Back on the Forum, lost at sea for awhile!!:) Nano up again

I use digital timers and soon will upgrade to a controller, but I did use one for my lamp when I went on vacation. Is that the type with the different colored jumpers? If so make sure the colors match when you want the power to go on. Also most of those jumper type timers have over ride...
