    Newbie needs some help

First off: :welcome to Nanotank! That can be done a couple of ways. If you have ANY livestock you will want to gradually increase your SG. One way is to top off with water with a slightly lower SG (keep the top off at about 1.022) this will raise the SG nicely. Just make sure to test...

    Equipment

It's a possibility. But once you drill it you must use it. Or patch it up if you don't want it anymore.

    New to pulse corals, question.

May be still acclimating. Amount of flow different? I've noticed that any pulsing xenia I've had prefers indirect random flow.

    help!!!!

It really is up to you. I personally have some rock that I epoxied together as I have a nice arch that I did not want falling forward and crashing into my glass. But honestly the rest of it is just stacked in a way that they will not fall. This is were you get to be creative and make the tank...

    NEW SALTY NANO NEED SUGGESTIONS

Well I don't think the biowheel will be the best bet. You don't want a bio wheel, ceramic rings, or bioballs as these typically create too many nitrates too quickly. I would get a mini power head. Koralia makes a nice set. Either a koralia nano or a koralia 1. My vote is for the nano...

    24 gallon aquapod lighting?

Yes you should be fine for the corals listed. If you want something more you can get the sunpod option of 150 watt MH, but you would then have to go open top. I am sure you can mod the hood and put in a 70 watt MH but I don't own one of those.

    Equipment

Spray bar or a hydro flow (if not DIY inclined) could work. Or if you don't want to see the equip you can drill into the false wall and have an additional power head pointed outward on the opposite side of your return pump near the sand bed.

Taam Rio Nano Skimmer Quick Review

Outstanding!! It really does help. It may not be DEAD silent but if you have a cabinet and this then you won't hear the air being pulled in anymore, but you may still hear the bubbles. My silencer came on my skimmer.

Taam Rio Nano Skimmer Quick Review

Yep I can when I get off work tonight. Basically instead of air being pulled straight from one tube it's pulled from the canister and that helps muffle the wind tunnel sound.

    new tank...

? If you mean nassarius snail, do a search on whelks. Sometimes whelks get solds as nassarius snails. Normally whelks are only an issue with clams as far as I know, but maybe...

Taam Rio Nano Skimmer Quick Review

Nice. Just a thought but most other skimmers have some common mods that may help you. First super glue the air tube to it to get a airtight seal. Then for an air intake silencer you can use something like this: It is above the top most red circle, you can make one out of a camera film case...

    help!!!!

I normally test after a week or two as during the first week ammonia is going up and nothing really of note is going to happen. But I don't mind waiting longer than I need to. Just fyi I noticed you said after you add water and sand. Just to be sure you should add water, sand, and rock at the...

    new tank...

From my buddies tank his leather likes lower flow. Try to move a bit and give over night to see if it reacts more positively.
