Go for a few nassarius snails... those are the ones that will lie in and sift the sand. Great additions. Jesse

Got a gorilla crab is it bad?

I wouldnt keep it... it wouldnt be any good in a refugium or anything else for that matter. If you wanted to keep it though, maybe you could build a specific tank for it... maybe like a 10g or something. Jesse

    sand cleaning fish

I would rely more on a clean-up crew to do that rather than a fish. However, a yellow watchman goby will occasionally sift the sand and would do okay in a 12g. Jesse

Does everything in the tank die durin cycling?

Most everything will survive... in fact, there is more in there that you havent seen yet. Most likely, you will continue to find stuff ever a year or more later. The anemone-looking hitchhikers, are the aiptasia? If so, it might be best to get rid of them with Joe's Juice or some other...

I Just got my new Nano cube

I personally wouldnt do any SPS or clams in a nanocube... stability (temp, pH, Ca, Alk, etc) being the main reason. The other is that most SPS would do best with a turnover of around 60x-80x per hour... that would be about 720+gph. A third being that SPS go through alot of chemical warfare...

    Yellow Watchman

Sweet! He looks healthy. My only concern would be the substrate... looks like a large grain size and he may not be able to sift it. Jesse

Chambers on a 12G NANO DX??

Definitely run the carbon and change it out every 2 to 4 weeks. Resins like Chemi-pure and Purigen are a great addition too. Jesse

Chambers on a 12G NANO DX??

If you have LR rubble in your filtration, make sure you clean out the detritus that forms under it every week... if not, it can easily defeat the purpose and lead to excessive nitrates. Jesse

    Need your opinion...

Zoas and SPS arent usually a good mix... they have different needs. Jesse

    Need your opinion...

that's alot of light for a tank that will only have ~6" of water! For a frag tank...probabl;y a 10,000k or 14,000k but hang it high... man, that will be intense! I dont know if I would do that... just IMO though. Jesse

    Need your opinion...

How tall would the tank be? Do you have a pic of the ballast? or a link? What kind of corals do you want? Jesse

    Need your opinion...

What size tank will it be on? I personally like the blue 20,000k look. What kinda ballast does it have? this will effect the color a little. Jesse
