    lowering water temp???

if it is topless, have a small fan blow across the surface of the water.. this will increase evaporation so keep an eye on the water level. If it has a hood, try adding a fan or two to the hood... the CPU type. Jesse

    Need lighting help!

:welcome to nanotank.com ling! I would suggest running the daylights as little as possible while your tank is cycling (if it is still cycling). After that, I think 10 hours a day for the daylights is about average and the moonlights are up to you... i usually run my white and blue moonlights...

    BC29 Lighting upgrade ?

I would go with the 150 watt sunpod. Reason being is that (A)metal halide dominates power compacts, (B) metal halide will penetrate to the sand bed much better than the PCs, (C) sunpods rock! If you do go with the 4 PC's though, I would suggest 2 10,000k and 2 true actinics... if you have...

    Increased Flow

Yeah that is the "professional" way to do it! There is a DIY way too... I'll see if I can find something on it. BTW, $25 for that thing? You may as well buy a koralia nano or 1... they come with a magnet/suction cup holder. Jesse

Replacement water pump for a BC29

It won't be much more heat than the via aqua pumps... It is only 2 more watts. It shouldn't be a problem in a 24g tank.

    Increased Flow

I have heard of people attaching magnets to the pump and securing them to the glass with anothe magnet on the outside. I'm not sure on the details but I believe it involves epoxy. Jesse

    BC29 ?

I personally do not like glass lids on reef tanks but understand the necessity when it come to children. Have you considered eggcrate? If you went with glass, you would probably need to do what Tim suggested. Jesse

    would these be ok

I would skip the peppermint and go with a few sexies. ANd as for fish, I like to keep my bioload light so I would suggest the clown goby pair. Would you be buying them as a pair or would you be trying to pair them up on your own? Jesse

    Ordered new tank

Nice choice. I love my 12g AP with the 70 watt sunpod. Is your sunpod the 150 watt version? Those solana stands are nice too. Jesse
