    Maroon Clown

The Ritteri or Mag. Anenome in my reference materials doesnt mention this as a host in the wild or captivity for a Maroon Clown. From my personal opinion I think a BTA or RBTA would be a great choice and will host as many as 14 different varities of Clownfish, the Maroon Clown being one of them...

attempting a larger tank, sorry nano'ers

Could you provide a link to the tank your actually looking at so I can get a better visual than the discription alone leaves? I could probably help you out with considerably becuase I have 8 tanks that are 40-300 gallons that are from 1-3 years old. I also work a LFS(newly established...

Just wanted to let everyone know about a awesome on-line dealer I stumbbled into a couple of weeks ago...MDMAquatics. Its a buy what you see kinda sight, with some smoking hot Rics, Zoos and ORA Frags. Not the cheapest place in town I am sure but had a stupendous selection of items and even...

    Newbie lighting

mordigan I think given the parameter for which you set and the size tank that you have that a Quad 4 96 watt PC would be good enough to just about cover the bases except prehaps more light demanding SPS/Crocea clams. I use that same coralife fixture over my QT tank for SPS corals and Clams...

    Whats a nano?

I personally consider anything less than 30 a nano. But as mentioned before, it all depends upon who you talk to as to what answer you will get on this question. Just so happens here, they (being the forum owner/operator) chose to specifally speacialize in show casing 20 or less. Nothing...

    The Watts per Gallon Rule!

I think its a very vague rule of thumb at best. 6 watts per a gallon in a 20L is way different than 6 watts per a gallon on a 120 or 180 gallon tank due to water depth. It really wouldnt matter much if you only put the corals 6" deep though as the light hitting them would be about the same...

    Nice yellow polyps

Thats a fact Conni, they indeed will munch on your Yellow Polyps if they are hungry and they are handy. Once I had one go through one of my rocks like a lawn mower before I could grab a net and snag him! I dont keep these corals in tanks that have Pepperment Shrimp in them anymore.

    Introducing myself

Its not that hard, wood working that is. Not much to it, just measure twice and cut once! It works much better that way, sometimes learning is a slow and lengthy process. Humm, I dont know maybe a 20 long or something. I havent really sized things up that much. Maybe a 10 if I ever free...
