Thanks Memphis. They did great for over a year and multiplied frequently. They were quite healty and I used to spot feed them but then they just kinda disappeared. I noticed that they were sometimes in contact with my frogspawn and I think that was the culprit. If there is even a slight chance your corals will be in contact its better to just move them. Lesson learned. :banghead:

Did you have peppermint shrimp in there? I have heard that peppermints can eat yellow polyps if they get hungry.

Thats a fact Conni, they indeed will munch on your Yellow Polyps if they are hungry and they are handy. Once I had one go through one of my rocks like a lawn mower before I could grab a net and snag him! I dont keep these corals in tanks that have Pepperment Shrimp in them anymore.

Nope, never had a peppermint in there. I do have a coral banded shrimp though but I've never heard of them muching on yellow polyps. :huh:

you know, that's strange. I've never had any luck with yellow polyps. I've bought two healthy looking colonies and over the course of several months, they just slowly start to disappear. No pep shrimp either at the time.
