Eventualy i would recommend getting something for the clown to almost...which could be anything...and that would get him over his shyness pretty quick! Ive heard of those clowns hosting everything from hammer corals to frogspawn to powerheads! he'll come out, they are lots of fun and generally...
Dont forget that lighting is the one purchase that you could end up really regretting, or end up really pleased. Spend a little more than you can afford, and you should be pleased!
Adding an algae crew and cleanup crew will definetly help, as well as time. Once the tank stabilzes and finishes its cycle, this algae will go away... the next color algae will probably be green.
And welcome to the site!
Yes, a little unclear, but for sure looks like a feather duster. Congrats! you will see many many more as your rock cures. (i'm assuming it is new?)
And welcome to the site!
Almost completed the MH custom reflector, thanks to my dad and his access to a sheet metal bender/creaser. I wanted one that was narrower to allow enough room for the PC reflectors, so the new one is 2 1/2" across compared to the 3 1/2" reflector that came with the kit. Plus, I didnt like the...
FYI...Here is a link to a 20 L from another site (wouldn't recommend the site...they are a bit rude), however this tank is a prime example of what a 20L with some good lighting and good aquascaping could look like ----> http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.p ... 2536&st=80
Personally, I would prefer a long. the reason being that i find it easier to aquascape a shorter, longer tank as opposed to a taller tank. My 16 gallon bow, for example, is the same WxL as a 10 (approximately) but it is about 6" taller. that makes it harder to aquascape. Also, like you hit...
That is great to hear. I have seriously considered purchaseing one for both my 16 bow and my dads 46 gal planted. So you would say that they are worth the price? (tad bit pricey)
I would say that finding any traces of a body is doubtful. Cleaners usually unite on a find such as a deead body. Everyone pitches in, snails, crabs, shrimps. But i also wouldnt give up hope on finding him. fish can tend to hide very well. Has there been any major fluctuation in your...
these are my first all orange zoas. Actually a couple of them are solid orange, a couple are orange skirts with blue-grey speckeled centers. Hey, for $5, couldnt pass them up. Plus, I dont mind buying these things small, they grow like crazy.
I agree with the other two. Avoid the nanocube...it is much more cost effective to go with a 20 gal long. That will probably be the next size tank that i would set up. as far as equipment needed to start, that would include about a 2" to 3" inch bed of, IMO, the finest aragonite sand...
These are both decent choices well under $300... http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem. ... ct=CU01015 , http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem. ... ct=ES53104
Latest shots...almost ready to paint the canopy. Tomorrow i will be custom making my MH reflector and the PC reflectors, so I should have pics of those by tomorrow night.
