I think that filter may be a good choice. Remember that with the Catalina goby you will probably need a chiller due to the fact that they are from cooler waters...they arent tropical. I think that 67 to 72 degrees is suitable for them, up to about 74.

Sure, two 2x96 may work, but that would take up quite a bit a space and also you are looking at spending as much as you would on a MH fixture, at least $500. If you are going to, or are willing to spend that kind of money, why not just get a MH fixture? Drsfostersmith.com is selling the 36"...
