Dealing with dropping salinity is unusual...usually it is rising salinity that is the issue. Do you use a hydrometer or refractometer to measure your salinity...sometimes a hydrometer can be rather inaccurate. I think you covered all the bases as far as spotting a future problem...

Just some updates: My nitrates went up to 15 ppm after adding the clowns, but has now dropped back donw under 10 ppm. Nitrates and ammonia have remained at 0 since the beginning. pH is pretty stable at right around 8.0...temp VERY stable at 81.0-81.5, never varying more than that. The...
