    Enough for a 29 gal?

It'll be fine, but you'll still likely need to remove the glass tops. B

need a light for my 55

Sorry that's not the way it works. You can have a 55 that's predominantly SPS, or LPS, or softies and mushrooms, etc...But you can't keep "everything". The requirements for some preclude keeping others. Do your research and come back. B

    Enough for a 29 gal?

It'll be cooler, but not by much. Build a canopy. Your lights should be about 8-10" off the water so splashing shouldn't be an issue. If you're concerned about fish jumping then just make it an enclosed canopy. (No open back). Your exhaust should be double the intake. So if you have...

    A Nano Named "Christine"

Ok...I'll be the first to say it. Those sharks don't belong in a 15g tank. In fact anything under 150g is too small for them. The tank/sump/lighting was all done very nicely, but you messed up when you add them to the mix. B

need a light for my 55

Do some research on SPS, and LPS corals. Once you figure out the types that you're likely to want to keep you can make a decision about lighting. SPS, clams, and anemones, requires higher lighting than LPS, and softies like leathers or mushooms, and/or zoos. B

    Enough for a 29 gal?

You're not going to be able to keep glass tops over a tank with a MH light over it. Unless you want to go spend a ton of money on a chiller that is. The you need as much open water to be able to cool the tank through evaporation. The 14k is definitely more blue than the standard 10k, but...

    light

Yep. You just need to be aware of it when you're putting them in the tank. My wife upgraded the lights over her 10g to 96w, from 65w. She didn't adjust her photoperiod, and all her leathers bleached out. They're still alive, but they went from bright green to white. They're gradually...

    Enough for a 29 gal?

The actinic light is to make the light more appealing to our eyes. 10k is fine for the coral. Lots of folks use a 20k bulb which is bluer, and go without actinic supplements. The 24" reflector will be fine. The height it's at over your tank will determine the spread of light through the...

    light

It may actually be a bit intense for some softies, but the LPS should be fine. Most 10g tanks are 20" wide, and this is 24" wide so it'll stick out on either side of the tank, unless you have some kind of custom tank. B

JBJ 6 Modded by Nanocustoms. My Experience

I've never talked to Chris. But I'm a tech, and I can tell you that there's a lot to these mods that he's doing. From pics online of some of the stuff hes done you can see that he had a learning curve as well, and that he improved things as he got feedback. I'm guessing that whoever he hired...

    BTA anyone?

It depends greatly on the light and current where they'll decide to be. When I had PC lights the BTA stayed up top right out in the open for the most part. All of them prefer to have their foot anchored in a crack or crevice. Now that I have VHO/MH, the BTAs both moved to the bottom of the...

    parasites

They worked for me as well, both at home using firefox, and at work using IE. Bent millipedes sound like amphipods, which are harmless. There are some types of fireworms that will reportedly will eat anemones. But they look a lot like bristleworms. Isopods look more like pill-bugs, but...
