    rbaby's 20g + 10g (pic extensive)

That's cause your overflow plumbing is restricted by a lot of turns. Her return has a lot of turns/splits that are dropping the gph of the pump as well. If you had turns/splits in your return, or a straight line from your overflow to your sump then your pump probably wouldn't be outpacing...

    NanoCube Lighting Problem

Yep. It could also be a short someplace in between the ballast and the lamp, or the oulet and the ballast. Either way it's defective. I'd take it back to the LFS you got it from, or contact JBJ directly if you ordered it online. B

    Spectrum??????/

6,700k bulbs tend to be very yellow. They're tend to be cheaper, and I've read conflicting reports on them being more effective for coral growth than the other spectrum 10,000k are probably the most popular and give a crisp white light. 14k are a bit blue, but some like it better than the...

    anenomes

Anemones are pretty poor candidates for nanos. Bubbles aren't as light needy as some other species but they still need a pretty good amount. As Mike mentioned all anemones will wander if they're not happy. Bubbles wander more than any other type I've tried. They can sting stuff in the...

    24 gal nano-cube

Yep. It'll be fine for quite a bit, but it's a bit low for any anemones, much less a carpet...I honestly don't think carpets are great candidates for even modded nano tanks. They get huge, and do so pretty quickly. B

    what do you all suggest?

I don't think there's really that much difference between the two choices. Mainly it becomes a question of which schedule is gonna be easier for you to maintain? B

    air bubbles

Yes. Very. recommended levels taken from the article. Alkalinity2 2.5 - 4 meq/L or 7 - 11 dKH or 125 - 200 ppm CaCO3 equivalents (due to bicarbonate and carbonate but not borate, so those using Seachem salt must raise this value substantially to accommodate the borate...

    nanocube owners

There's a bunch of threads about this over on nano-reef.com. It seems to be worse in the 24g model than in the 12g or 6g models, but it sounds like they didn't use thick enough glass in any of them. Apparently having curves in the glass weakens it, and to counteract that they should be using...

    Zooanthids and montipora

What size tank? Some zoos will do fine under fairly low light conditions. Some seem to need higher lighting. Montipora is an SPS coral, and requires higher lighting, and higher flow rates. It is one of the few SPS that will actually do well under a decent amount of PC lights. So it may...

    air bubbles

Both of these levels are low. The calcium is just a tad low. Most of the things I've seen suggest 400-420 for a reef tank. Alk should be closer to 10-12. The air pump/airstone will only help if you're having issues related to oxygen exchange. This can be a factor if you have glass...

    18g Setup with many questions

I'd stay away from starfish. The tank is very new, and most starfish are kinda fragile. This is what I was talking about. http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant ... aecleaners B

    24 gal nano-cube

Unless you're running a modded light setup on your cube I don't think that the 72w of pc lighting is going to be enough for a carpet. Everything I've read on the forums, and in books states that they're a very high-light needing animal. B

    Algae question

Re: algae cleaners? How old is your tank? Phosphates are another cause for algae blooms. Are you using RO water? Or RO/DI water? Overfeeding will cause high phosphates. How often/how much/what do you feed? B
