    shrimps

There is a lettuce nudibranch available in the hobby that isn't hard to keep but you have to have sufficient algae for him to eat, thats all they will eat and if there isn't enough available they will starve so IMO they are not a suitable specimen for a nanotank. Skip

    Wattage per gallon rule???

The watts per gallon rule is oudated, as time has passed we have learned that the wattage over a tank is not comparable when you are talking about different kinds of lighting. One example would be that (I am going a bit extreme but the point should be easy to see) you cannot compare my 440...

Welcome, it's always great to see new people in the hobby. Nice looking tank so far. I have 2 nanocubes (a 12DX and a 6) and I like them better than my larger tanks. I look forward to more pics of your progress. Skip

    cutting glass

I have drilled 4 or 5 tanks with the same method and another bit that I found useful was a diamond drum sander. It seems like I am kinda shy about drilling the hole too big and I end up needing to open it up a little and the drum sander is perfect for the job, it only takes a few seconds to...

    How do you feed Cyclop-eeze?

You can also use a small plastic bowl turned upsidedown and put it over thew coral you are trying to feed to keep the food from being carried away by the current. you just have to remember to remove it 5 or 10 minutes after feeding. PS If the big frozen bars seem like too much for a...

    moving day

If space isn't an issue keep as much of the original water as you can so when things finally get back in the tank its more like a water change than having to adjust to new tankwater. Coolers are a must like already mentioned. If you have a DSB you may want to start over with a shallow sandbed...

Thanks for the heads up Dragon, I found a couple of online vendors selling them for just under $100. None of the LFS in my area carry them.

    CO2 containers help???

5# is the smallest cylinder I have heard of that is designed to be connected to a regulator. I did notice that the 20 oz. cylinder loks like it had a threaded neck, maybe you could replace the current fitting with a standard valve?

    6 g vs. 12 g (deluxe) nanos?

I have both the 6 gallon and 12 DX and like them both. The main advantage to the 12 DX is that it has much better lights. I know the watt per gallon thing doesn't mean much but the 6 has 3 wpg and the 12 DX has 4 wpg just as a comparison. This means you will be able to keep more light loving...
