I think they just don't want to be cleaned. When my fish want to be cleaned they seek the shrimp out but ignore them the rest of the time.

The pistol should be fine. Give them time and they will probably end up pairing up. Pistol shrimp are blind so it could be that the goby is scaring him when he approaches, after the pistol gets settled in the tank he shouldn't be so easy to scare off.

You may want to do a search on flatworms to make sure that those are not you little slugs, if they are you can get rid of them before they get too established. Lets see a full tank shot.

I agree to leave them alone but I do want to say that if you decide to remove them do not handle them with your bare hands, their bristle hurt like crazy if they get in your skin.

I can't make out enough detail to ID the exact type of worm that is but sandbed worms are very good, they eat detritus and keep you sandbed stirred up. This is a sign of a healthy sandbed. HTH, Skip
