Andre do you think that there could be another cause to your hi calcium levels ? I use Instant Ocean and my calcium in in the 420 range ?

any one use chemi-clean to rid red slime? how do you dose ? predisolve in water but do I mix for the 10 gallon or should I cut the dose in 1/2 for the 7gallon mini bow front? :maitre

I do they didnt ask to be housed by a total idiot like me . I guess I figured that the cyclop-eeze that did not get consumed would be taken care of by the water changes per week , I guess I did not figure that it may get to spots I couldnt and "rot" that was my stupidity .... I dont know maybe...

John they are showing some orange dimples along the edges and their mouths are closed now , after I stabbed them I noticed that they put out some kind of goo . And now the water is really cloudy . I have them placed in a lower corner with lower flow . As I am understanding I do need to target...

Looks like you have red slime , as well as diatom blooms normal part of cycling . how old is your tank what are your perameters . You may need to increase flow to those parts of the tank as well as cut back on feedings as well as shorten the lighting cycle...

Thanks for the feed back guys I will pull it off tonight , I currently have a penguin 150 on the tank for a filter but was looking to help pull some of the bad out , as for cooking the cyano , red slime is on rock with corals and shrooms :oops: I just did a 1.5 gallon h2o change to help...

still no sign of mine but I figure if he is there he will eventually oome out if not well then not :sad:

Try to keep the flow high to it and see you may need to frag the dead skeleton off but it may not be totally lost . Hopefully incysor or john will have some input for you :mrgreen:

John I did the tooth pick trick stabbed it into live rock , I have had 0 luck with sewing them on so I did the stabbing ...... man were they pissed they spewed stuff out (not sure if the girl at the store pulled them off rock or not ) and they clouded the tank up I did a 1.5 gallon change...

sorry I dont think that it is enough light for a bta . Lighting is something not to skip on for your size tank or any tank for that matter especially when you want to keep corals or an anenome . I have 72 wats on a 7gmb and there are times that I think and know that I do not have enough lighting...
