    10G build questions

Great direction! FOr the firefish please remember they are jumpers. If you want you can turn any powerfilter into a refugium. It's up to you, but I do like the refugiums as that is where my algae grows as opossed to my display area. By the way... :welcome to Nanotank.com!

Can someone explain a little about the different lighting

If you don't want coral you can use any light you want. If you want photosynthetic inhabitants (coral) then you will need to read up a bit on either compact florescent, T5, Metal Halide, or high output florescent lighting.

    changing or adding water

For evaporation do not use more saltwater. For evaporation use fresh water (preferably RO/DI). Water change can be as easy as pull out old saltwater and pour in new saltwater. Just make sure the temperature and salinity is the same.

is this even worth my time and money?

True. I say go for it. Bigger isn't better per say. Bigger is easier for sure. But this is a nano tank forum and you can look through some posts to see some wonderful examples of what a basic 10 gallon tank can become.

10 - 29/30 gallons, is there much of a price difference

Well size of furniture can go up the larger it is if that is what you mean. Start up costs for tanks are more for larger tanks, but the difference wouldn't be THAT much. Live rock will probably be your largest expense (besides inhabitants that is).

    Tank Photo Chronology

Have the surface of the water "rolling" to promote gas exchange to help with PH. Also maybe just opening the lid for a bit can help with the PH. Great idea on the chronology! P.S. :welcome to Nanotank!

    Hello all

Well those are some nice features. I don't know anything about that particular tank but that is a VERY nice looking setup with all the bells and whistles built in. That is a bit pricey, but, if everythings works well I would buy that (actually I'm thinking of getting it anyways, as a decent MH...

    Funkngroovy's 22g with sump.

Go slow on the drilling and have running water to cool and clean the cut. Go slow and you will do fine. Diamond bits are a must IMO.
