they get really aggressive when they get larger.........so are even like that when there smaller. had one in the past and witnessed it catching acouple small gobies. that was the end for him :twisted: :cry: just my 2 cents though, ppl have kept them with no problems. HTH

mine will do it from time to time. if they dont open for a few days start investigating. water parimeters, nudi's, fish, ect.....

yeah they where, im not that great at the electrical end of things but after me looking through all the LED's i found one that matched the specs on the plug.

yes you would need an overflow for it to skim the surface. you can use the closed loop system with an overflow. its just a little tricky to set it up and balance the system out.

in my opinion i would scratch the bubblebee snails. they look cool but the do sqwat. i would get either nerite, nass., or astrea snails. JMO.

thats gotta be 3/4" pvc, i have both and from the looks of it i would have to say 3/4 for sure. it definitly wont skim the surface but does it matter since its not filtering , just cycling?

welcome to nanotank JTF.........i second wettank's statment. it might take a few weeks though. if you can get your hands on established LR and sand it will help greatly.

if that doesnt work, try putting a piece of black hose near his hole and after a night or so pull rock out and see if the mantis shrimp is in the hose. it worked for me. HTH

sump is just a remote filter, plus it can house all other equipment, heater, skimmer, controlers, ect.
