    if you can take it out of the tank, i would. best time to do it would after a water change. clean it off in the old water. i found it grew nomatter what i had the temp at.

    1. i have had my xenia do this from time to time. if they get irratated they will do this. mine all come back in time. if you fraged it, it needs time to recooperate. 2. youll have to manually remove it with a toothbrush or scrub pad.

    you can put a glass top on the tank, but in dong that you are likely to have heat issues. i run open tops on all my tanks and havent had anything crawl out but i did have one fish try to walk.

    What additives in a Nano Tank

    you can use a pH buffer. i dont anymore, when i let my freshly mixed water sit for a day or so the pH raises up to 8.2. there must be something in my salt mix that does it, not sure though.

    there are acouple companies that have 20" fixtures that fit nicely over the ten gallon tank.

    when i started i used a aquaclear HOB power filter, AC500. filled it with LR rubble. 15 pds sand , same for LR. cyled for a month or so. then started regular water changes.......
