    Anyone else having this problem.

I don't bother with the notification emails....The icons on the forums are greyed out when there aren't any new posts. If there are new posts the icons change to orange. When you open up the forum, the threads that have new posts are highlighted in the same fashion. For the last few days...

Pods that flitter in the current?

Not to make light of a crappy situation.....But I think it's funny that this is in an existing thread in the 'identification' forum. B

The icons are not changing colors to indicate new messages anymore. Could this be a problem with my cookies? B

    Frogspawn vs. Plate Coral??

There maybe some folks that have managed to frag plate corals, but in my experience they're pretty fragile, and I wouldn't try it. My last one died because my jawfish covered 1/3 of it up with sand while we were out of town for the weekend. When we got home I removed the sand, but with just 2...

Did a little upgrade on my 20 gallon today...

Yes. Any bend, or split will restrict flow. SCWDs drop your flowrate by 20-33%. B

    bulkhead size

Then it's either your overflow itself, or the durso that's slowing things down. A 1" bulkhead will allow 600gph through. But the plumbing on either side of the bulkhead can slow things down if it isn't set up just right. B

    Frogspawn vs. Plate Coral??

I'd go with Frogspawn. Most long tentacle plates I've seen are pretty large, which makes aquascaping for them a pain in a nano. I've owned black, and orange occellaris, clowns, and true percs. Of the three types all of them hosted stuff eventually. The true percs seemed to take to it...

    HOB Surface Skimmer

Mine seems to do a decent enough job. No crashes, or problems in a year. B

    bulkhead size

It wouldn't hurt anything to try it out. I'd say go for it. B

    bulkhead size

LOL...It can if you're plumbing is fairly straight. In fact it should handle 600gph with minimal twists/turns, unless something is wrong with it. B

They tend to have an orange body, with white bristles. Do a search for bristleworm, or bristle worm. There have been lots of links posted. B

    75 gal journal

Some people use them, but they seem to be in the minority. I haven't read anything that would lead me to believe that they'll hurt anything, but I haven't had any real reason to put one on any of my systems, so until one basically gets handed to me for free I probably won't mess with it. Far...

    Very confused about wattage

:) Depending on where you bought it, maybe they'll let you exchange it for a 50/50 one. B

    HOB Surface Skimmer

This is what I have hooked up to both the skilter on my 6g nano, and the ac500 converted fuge I have on the 10g. http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem. ... ct=HG10240 http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem. ... ct=HG11006 They're both basically the same thing. B

    Very confused about wattage

If you can find a 10k bulb, or a 50/50 bulb, which will be 10k, and 03 actinic, you may like the look of the tank a bit better. Most find that a combination of 10k, and actinic, (ie. 50/50), have a crisper whiter look. Most people think the 6500k bulbs give off too yellow a light. Your corals...

72 Oceanic Reef Ready Bow Front Evolution...

DIY moonlight setup. 10 LED's running off of one adapter. The local club had a workshop on them over a year ago, that was was free to members, and $5 per kit for non-members. I didn't have the canopies done at the time, so they got put in the garage, and I just haven't got around to finishing...

In that small a tank with that much light, I'd say leave it where it is if it looks happy. B

    ric question

What color is it? All of my green/blue ones seemed to like shadier areas of the tank, where the pink/orange ones liked the bright areas. B
