New to nano, 10 gallon setup?

If you tried to use the 2x40 watter on a larger tank, you would have to modify it a little to make it fit, You would have to hang it or muild it into a canopy. You could always do as many of use have done, im sure, and gut it and use the the 2x40 watt lamps in addition to other lights. HTH...

    My other tank!

Great tank.... It is always nice to see the FW tanks. Although Ive thought about it and i dont see myself ever going back. If i wanted a fish-only tank, it would have to be salt. Jesse

    Is this enough light?

It looks like eventually I will be building a real canopy. I plan on mounting the 150 watter in there with a single 24" VHO actinic lamp. Jesse

    Phischy's Quest: Pt IV

Sounds good, Phischy. Hey, have you looked into the Octopus NW110? I have heard much better stuff about them than I have the Mini G. Here is a link. Almost the same quality as the ER skimmers... http://www.marinesolutionsinc.com/catal ... ucts_id=46 they use cast acrylic as opposed to...

    New 8 gal bow nano

A true peppermint shrimp should take care of it. If you like the rock and the shape and all that, dont take it back. I had Aiptasia on my LR when I first bought it. I killed alot of the large ones with Joe's Juice and then got a peppermint that kept it in check... never saw another aiptasia...

    UV Sterilizer

I dont have experience with UV sterilizers, nor do I have knowledge of that particular unit. I believe that one of the only members on this site that runs a UV unit is Mike Guerrero. He has a turbo-twist I believe on his 72g bow. Jesse

    Is this enough light?

Yeah, that should be plenty of light. The tank is 17" tall right? What kind of reflectors do you have? Is it a Tek light fixture? The key to T-5 HO's is a good ballast and good reflectors... the individual parabolic reflectors like the Icecap's are the best. HTH, Jesse
