Welcome back. One thing, unless you plan to keep the yellow-tail damsel, I wouldnt suggest you put it in there. It could be tricky to get him out. If you are using LR AND LS, there will be plenty of bacteria to get everything going just fine. Keep us updated with pics! Jesse

Putting a 150 watt MH on a 6g zoa/ric tank would be WAY overkill. I think you will fare much better with the pc's. A 20,000k MH would be a good choice... I had a 150 watt MH on a 12" deep tank and my zoas didnt color up as expected and I was running the 14,000k phoenx... a very blue lamp. Jesse

If it were my tank I would remove any corals that are attached to the piece of LR and just remove the affected rock alltogether. then just replace it with a new piece. Jesse

You can initially use a gallon or so of the old water from your 6 gallon to start the 3 gallon, but I wouldnt suggest anything more than that especially if you are reffering to "recycle" your old water everytime. Jesse
