Well that setup that you posted already has an "overflow". That tube with all the holes drilled in it is the intake for the pump. You wont need an external overflow if you arent running a sump. Jesse btw, what MH pendant do you have?

needlewheels are pretty good... check out the Coralife Superskimmer 65. Ive heard pretty good stuff about that one and it is affordable. Becketts are very efficient too... they are usually rated for large tanks. Jesse
