    my tank

I have used both the T5's and MHs, I prefer the T5's. Is this a standard 24" long or 30" long 20 gallon? What are your goals for corals? T5s can actually penetrate better than MH and can EASILY support clams/SPS. And like Island said, drop the nano skimmer, they are junk. Jesse

Best macro/micro camera for the $buck$

Well, that camera has a 3cm macro like mine, you should be able to take decent close-ups. Have you played with the white balance and ISO? Granted, you probably wont get any of those crystal-clear single-polyped macros, but you shoudl be able to take some decent close-ups. I couldnt do...

    LOOKS LIKE ANTS!

Probably a type of "pod" like an amphipod or copepod. Here is a pic of a copepod: http://www.bbsr.edu/biodiversity/creatu ... pepod.jpeg Jesse

    Black and White tank inhabitants

Bubbles are pretty aggressive i believe. PLus, their flesh is pretty fragile. I have a B&W ocellaris and I love him. A pair probably isnt a good idea like you said, but a single one is great. Jesse

    Lighting for Red Sea Max?

They are 55 watt power compacts like these: http://www.hellolights.com/505055w.html You can keep some low to medium light stuff like zoanthids, star polyps, shrooms, xenia, stuff like that. No SPS, clams, or other high-light stuff. HTH and :welcome to nanotank.com! Jesse

    clam vs. peppermint shrimp

Sorry we all missed this post. I kept a peppermint with two croceas and all was well. I have never heard of them injuring clams.... doesnt mean that it isnt possible though. Are you sure it was a peppermint shrimp? Was the clam looking well before this incident? Jesse

    best nano tanks

Yeah, of the all-in-one tanks I would go with the JBJ Nanocube.... Although, I *almost* bought an Oceanic Biocube. Those look very cool too. Jesse

    best nano tanks

Is an all-in-one tank a necessity? Building your own tank, say a 10g, is a good way to get everything YOU want. BTW, :welcome to nanotank.com! Jesse

Need a replacement PC ballast?? Perfect for nanocubes!! $3?!

What wattage are the PC's that you are looking to run? I have a 65 watter on my refugium, but I think there comes a point of "diminishing return"... it may be cheaper to just buy a PC ballast if you are looking to run a 55/65 watter. Jesse

Need a replacement PC ballast?? Perfect for nanocubes!! $3?!

I cant take credit for this at all... I saw a couple other threads on another site... they should get the credit! There are many many different wattages available out there... as long as the lamp you find comes within a watt or two of the lamp that you want to fire, it will work. Remember...
