    clownfish,All kinda gobies ,5.5Gallon

I WOULDNT DO A CLOWN FISH, THEY TEND TO HAVE A LARGER BIOLOAD. PERSONALLY I WOULD GO WITH 1-2 SMALL GOBIES. I WOULD KEEP THEM SMALL SO YOU DONT RUN INTO PROBLEMS WITH NITRATES AND ALL IN THAT SMALL OF A TANK. hth

New tank... need some input on lighting and few other things

its better not to run lights during the cycling period, it will keep you from having any algae problems during this stage and after. i would only use chemi-pure if you run into problems with your water parameters.

New tank... need some input on lighting and few other things

i would go with the aquaclear 110 and just put a bunch of LR rubble in it. i used it this way for acouple years on a ten and a fifteen, had great success. you can also just run a skimmer which would be better filteration, http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_AquariumP ... emora.html i would be...

i have heard great reviews on this aquac skimmer. http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_AquariumP ... emora.html i personally have a ASM mini G series (or baby G) skimmer, octopus skimmers make an identical skimmer5 to the ASM. i give the ASM two thumbs up, love it. i have been getting great results...

    Buddy's 32g Finnex M Tank Thread

lookin good so far....the only thing you might want to consider is leaving the lights off for the cycling period. it prevent an algae bloom that is sometimes impossible to get rid of. HTH and good luck.

    skimmer and overflow

i would just buy a skimmer, there are some cheap ones out there that work great. i tried making my own and ended up spending just as much as a bought one. are you going to drill your ten? if so, i have before and the glass is really thin on the tens and is very very fragile. i cracked a few...

sounds good, and as for fish i wouldnt get any more than what you mentioned. keeping your bioload down will be the best thing for you and your tank. it will make maintenence easier. HTH

    40-50 watt to much for a 5.5g?

i would be fine for both fish and coral. in that small of a tank youll probably want to stick to easier corals anyways, so light wont be an issue.

    Crab question

they dont grow shells, they borrow them. if you dont have any empty ones he might kill a snail for a new home, but youll have to get some if you dont have any.

    stocking reccomendation please!

i wouldnt recommend either one of those fish. both fish should have a larger than a 29gallon tank and the lion fish will probably go after your clowns. a goby would be a better choice.
