well the testing process looks nice alot of flow on the fuge and looks like the surface skimmer idea is working great.... (also looks like someone cant go sleep until the tank is running today :lol: :lol: :lol: ) .... what about the flow in the tank alot of it any wave motion????

digging this plumbing... and i know you have the other thread now but i had a plumbing question...

hows that flow from the q1 4000? how did you get the PCV to stay up on the black tank edging? i see zip ties but how are they fixed to the tank?

Sorry to take sooooo long to reply but I currently have NO internet!!

The manifold is held in place by only zipties... i poked little holes through the plastic lip that is there to hold glass lids and stuff. I put the zip ties through the holes and around the PVC...

well if you wouldnt mind a copycat i really like your return idea.. in fact the only change i would need to make would be to route around my HOB overflow... would you mind sending me a parts list for everything from the quiet one up... sizes, etc... that would be awesome...

Reefman 23 I know you took this tank down . I was wandering, How loud your 1" returns where facing up like that ? Any slurping are gargling sounds?. How far down are the tops of the elbows from the water line? If you were going to drill returns in a tank again would you do it different?
