Well I am slowly on my way with my new project. I just bought a new 20L that will serve as the main display tank...$24.99 @ PetSmart. It has the black silicone which I sort of prefer.

The stats on the new system:

DISPLAY:
-20L with a durso standpipe overflow http://www.dursostandpipes.com/
-~20 lbs of LS
-~15-18 lbs of LR
-100 watt stealth heater (I think I may add another or buy a larger one)
-Custom light fixture: (2)40 watt 50/50 pc's and a 70 watt 14,000k AstraLux MH
-1 or 2 small rio powerheads...we'll see what I can do with the return from the fuge.

Refugium
-20L refugium
-Some sort of return pump, not sure yet
-Cheato
-(2) PC floodlights
-~3" SB
-Small amount of LR rubble
-One small hydor or rio power head for flow
-DIY battery powered ATO system

Livestock

NOT SURE YET.

Looking good. Is the light in a canopy or is it a strip type fixture? It doesn't seem like having black silicone would be a good thing but it adds something to the tank. I had a black siliconed tank and thought it just set the tank off or something.

That light should work out well, especially since its level is adjustable. Now its time to start planning the stocking list.

Eddie, it wouldnt be hard at all if you used the stock kit. it is literally plug and play. all you need is something to mount it in. mine was a liitle more difficult because I chose to design a custom reflector to fit the way i needed it to. and the 70 watt kit is only $130 shipped so you cant beat that.

I could help you out too if you need ...I only live like 20 minutes from you, i go to LB once in a while anyways to go to circle pets...i was just there 2 days ago.

No you didnt miss anything, i just forgot to mention it. I will be moving everything from my 16 to the new 20L. I plan on breaking up the LR I have into smaller pieces.

I think that some of you arefamiliar with a member from nano-reef.com, tigahboy, well Im sort of shooting for a style similar to his custom 15g LPS system. He is sort of the inspiration for my new project, along with rbaby's 20g(?) system. Those are 2 of my favorite tanks.

As far as my photo host, I use photobucket.com...it was recommended to me by a few people here and it is free and works great. You tranfer your photos there and it automatically adjusts the photo size based on the size that you set it for (it gives you a couple size options). once it is transfered, you select the "Img" address, copy it, then paste it in your post, simple as that. When i make a post, it looks like this on my end--->
. Hope that helps.

I ordered the kit from a member on nano-reef.com, his s/n is lampdr. here is a link http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.p ... 70369&st=0 .. he is the illuming.com guy.

I did, however, forget that you had a nanocube...in that case, you are getting a little out of my area of knowledge. You may look into nanocustoms.com. This is unless you are willing to add a custom canopy to the tank in place of the stock canopy...then I may be able to help you.

I built one of those air pump topoff units, works great and is very easy to DIY. I built it for my nanocube which I later learned I didn't need it for but I have it for the 10 I am in the process of setting up now.

fuge tank

Yesterday when I went to my dad's house, i found an old and long forgotten tank that I use to use for a brackish puffer setup. It measures 30"Lx10 1/2"Wx16"T. It is an odd sized (maybe show) 20g L that will work perfectly for my fuge...Im pretty happy seems how this will save me $30. It just needs re-siliconed which is no big deal seems how I need to buy silicone for the baffles anyways.

THings appear to be coming along nicely. I have been told that if you print off the webpage from the net with the price they will honor the online price in the store for the airpump,
