OK, I don't want to let the cat out of the bag, but I am so excited about my order of goodies, arriving today.....

here are a few shots of some of the things that arrived. These all came out of the Florida keys and are straight from the ocean to here......

I can't wait to see where these tanks end up going. With all of the secrecy I think he has a TOTM plan gong here.

Not hardly.....

I am just excited about trying to do something nice, with such a unique size tank.....It is going to be a real challenge to work with such a small volume of water.

Well the live rock arrived and I have it washed and ready to go in the two tanks. I am going to go with small amounts and plan to build the rest of the tank up with rocks that have stuff on them. These will be my base rock.

I know they don't look like much, but I think it will be a good start.....

The 6.6

The nanocube6

The two of them.....

yeah, I have to agree. I was excited when I got the nanocube6, but when I saw the 6.6, I thought to myself,"this is really a crazy looking tank" I hope I can pull off the look I want in such a long shallow tank.....

I guess only time will tell.....

Are you going with the 2 separate rock structures in the 6.6? The length of that tank is perfect for that. One of my favortie scapes! Drop a clam or two in the valley. ;)

Yes, I am going with the separate rock, on both ends of the tank. I think with it being such a long shallow tank, it would just look like a wall.....

skipm,

Nice link, thanks for sharing, I can see it will be a great help to me. I see he mentioned flow problems, so I will be keeping my eyes open for that....

Well, I had some free time today and added some of the live rock(which I had been holding to cover the base rock) This live rock has a good covering of mushrooms, zoos, etc.

Next I will start to fill in the bare spaces with an assortment of zoo frags, mushroom frags, etc.....

Well here are a few shots of the nanocube 6.....

The 6.6 I am still fine tuning the temp and a few things.....

Good looking tank. WOW, that was fast. I would definetly add one of those drop-in surface skimmer attachments designed for the nano cubes.

That tank is looking great! I especially liked the zoas and the emerald crabs pics. You may want to think about getting one of the Nimble magnet cleaners to go in there, they work great and they fit in the tank alot better than the stock JBJ cleaner that comes with the cubes.

That thread I posted earlier was pretty good but this is the one I meant to post: http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.p ... =bookshelf
