It is quite possible to not see the life of pods, I am sure they are in there,as for the algae consider your self fortunate to not have to deal with the algea out breaks, with out pics it is hard to say what the blue/green is it could be algea or sponge .... it looks like you are right on in...

yep they were dripped last night I think that 1/2 the water was from the rock pool there is only 2 in there currently

IMHHO you could leave it in however you should be rinsing it quite frequently 3-4 times a week to prevent nitrAtes and phosphate build ups I think a bag of purigen or the likes might better suit the needs .... :mrgreen: Welcome to the site LA :welcome

Recently I recieved a pice of coral with a few 10-20 pistol shrimps now I did not know they were there but did place it into my tank I decided that the piece needed cut down so as to fit that is when I found em here is there nursery tank ....no bells and whistles just a tank...

I do believe (if you can post a picture) that that would be a surface skimmer you may need to tweek the skimmer by dremmeling the teeth a bit deeper.....along with the power heads being pointed up to add a bit of of turbulance will help hopefully some one else will be able to guide you to do the...

you will want to address this problem I would recommend a power head aimed at the top to break surface tension ...... I would also try to siphion it off and do a partial 15%-20% water change .........It is worriesome for the fact that gas exchange is greatly reduced this can cause low oxygen ...

Leaky sorry to hear that :cry: what you may wish to do is to start over keep the corals keep a couple cups of old sand and scrub the rocks ......keep 1/2 the water and reset up wait a couple of weeks then look for a couple fish .....In the begining I could not keep clowns no matter what...

Aquai what size is your tank again ....? I would say that yes a hermit could do this but unlikely if the fish is healthy... I would also say that it is a premature dosing at this point with good water quality her tail should repair provided she is eating well and not running out of pods to...

Pirate I have em on our tanks the filter and the pumps runn on it I did a trial run for on it and they seemed to work fine. It lasted with out the lights on 3 hours this was with one mini jet and the penguin filter when I added the second mini jet 606 it decreased the run time a whopping 3...
